JAY PS Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 So guys what do reckon on the budget ? Will fuel go up ? Roadtax go up ? Public services and dustbin collections go down? What do you think about all gas guzzlers paying double roadtax?

Mr Sam Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 25 year old cars should have FREE tax.......and no emissions test horses should pay road tax and 4x4's should be banned apart from land rovers in rural areas
Tom Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Due to low lifes i wont disclose my address ,but im in the crofts area Seen your motor about ,nice mk2 yes mate i don't blame ya i'll keep an eye out for ya when i'm round that way
RFChris Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Gotta admit, i'm a little concerned. Our main car is the Vectra.....which is a 2.6. If it goes up we'll have to sell it as we simply can't justify the RFL. I don;t want to. Its a good car and its never let us down. It only does about 30 miles a week. Fook fook fook fook fook. I like MY car that I WORKED for....now i might have to sell it. Bet you won't see the No.10 clan rolling up in anything less than a 4.0 Jag though. T**T. Chris
MK5 Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 So guys what do reckon on the budget ?Will fuel go up ? Roadtax go up ? Public services and dustbin collections go down? What do you think about all gas guzzlers paying double roadtax? yes lots yes lots probably too damn right (you mean Chelsea tractors ?)
w p e Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 tell me something if 4x4s owners might have to pay higher road tax then shouldnt sprinter vans and the like. as for instance my 4x4 is 2.8 turbo diesel and my sprinter is 2.9 tuobo diesel then wheres the differance? if i put some 13" rims on the 4x4 and drop it on the deck its then no bigger then your average family car. get the tape measure out and when you get a chance have a measure up on a 4x4. prehaps they should put higher tax on all cars with bigger wheels on then standard and our old skool motors with our big engines
over_head_cam Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Whatever happens in the budget. We're bound to get screwed
105Nick Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Damn nice granny though How can my Mk1 not be tax exempt in this day & age
mk2_escort_chick Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I agree- mk1/2's should be tax exempt. It shouldn't be from a set 1970's date. It should be- if the car is 25 yrs old. I hope that made sense
Gareth Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I'm jus amazed they haven't abolished tax exemption completely The annual budget that happens twice or thrice a year, does nothing but rape everyone. It's not about being green, it's about finding another way to rob the public.... ...In order to fund nuclear submarine builds Mr. Blair must've been crap at battleships as a kid.......
Rick Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 all old cars should recieve tax exempt status. its like recycling, were not wasting energy and materials building new cars, were using the old ones! sum1 should start a petition... i would but i have no idea
MK II Mark Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I'm glad I don't have to take it up the ass like you guys, I only pay £5 a year for road tax on my escort cos it's over twenty five years old and £140 for my 1.9 Golf. I live on The Isle of Man (tax haven) so I don't pay poll tax and get taxed on a different scale for my salary, I think eighteen percent is the highest tax bracket. Sorry, I don't mean to gloat
MK II Mark Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 You're very lucky! I know... How much does it cost to tax your average 2.0 litre car in the UK then?
jamesmk1 Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 dj van and tom you must be a 2 min walk from me then and i have never seen your car.
Gareth Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 You're very lucky! I know... How much does it cost to tax your average 2.0 litre car in the UK then? Right I'm movin in wit u!!!! It costs me £175 p/a to tax my capri. Any car registered after 2001 is taxed by it's emissions. Eg: A BMW X5 4.0l driver will pay about £200 p/a, whilst a 900cc Corsa driver will pay about £100 p/a thereabouts
Essex Boy Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 25 year old cars should have FREE tax.......and no emissions test horses should pay road tax and 4x4's should be banned apart from land rovers in rural areas Close .. You should only be allowed an off roader/4x4 if you live on a farm anyone else wants one it should be £10,000 a year road tax
petrolhead Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Is the chessington posse bigger than two? I think I recognise DJ van's location as well! We should meet up at Blackamoors or Bones for a I'm hoping they will tax the Chelsea tractors more - XC90's, BMW X5's, Porsche monster trucks.
mk2_escort_chick Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Close .. You should only be allowed an off roader/4x4 if you live on a farm anyone else wants one it should be £10,000 a year road tax Thank you! I know that Dean will agree with you on that!
