Hes from newcastle, but spends time in cambridge - but is willing to travel. Wants someone who knows old fords and thier engines... Can people reccomend any places?

Retromotorsport Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 To be honest ... if your based in Newcastle use one up there, as long as you stay with them and dont " shop around" you'll get consistant figures .. I know Tom from Fostek in Newcastle traveled down to T&R but thats on a competition car .. road car a few BHP lost from the figure isnt going to matter, its the midrange you want right, more torque than bhp is important. And also any mods you do are a waste of time if you dont use the same rollers.. as a gain or loss of 10bhp could be down to the rollers not the part thats fitted. So if your mates in Newcastle most of the time ... use one up there, if hes at Cambridge a lot the Wobbly Walkers place (Emerald) is a good bet, or a trip from there down the M11 to T&R

Dom Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 I'd recommend Dave Walker at Emerald too, guy's a star and really knows his stuff
