ive got a mk2 rs2000 clock. the sort that come in the clock pods and i was thinking of making it into a desktop clock.

 

i know id have to make some kind of box for it to sit in but is there any way i can wire it up to run off a battery? :?

how big is a 12volt battery :?

 

ill have to invest in one. itll prob not be worth it with the cost of the parts but no1 else will have one :wink:

it may run off a 9v battery without a problem, I think it may be semi clockwork clock, and only requires a battery to energise a solonoid to wind the clock up which runs for about 10 mins. I know some ford clocks ran like this

yes thats fine. its not copyrighted or anything :lol:

 

i just realised that my volvo 240 has THE EXACT SAME CLOCK as the rs2000's did :shock: it just says volvo instead of ford on it :lol:

 

ok ill get a 9v battery and see what happens 8)
