hi, last sunday we went to krefeld, last year the meeting in venlo holland stoped, so a few guys from Germany sad we can have a meeting here, so they did, and becaurse it was great, they held it this year as well, al the proseeds whent to a good charety. they al worked for nothing, it was a great meeting, hoopfull they will have it next year, about 100 pictures in the zip file, cheers marcel 2014_0111 (3).zip

you can also use a mk2 master cylinder, it has got 3 ports, just plug one up, works the same, cheers marcel

the mk2 legs will fit, but you have to use the mk2 steerringrack, the balljoints are bigger, the servo will only fit if you shorten the rod to the brake pedal, the sice of it, you can find in the haynes manual for the mk1, cheers marcel

hi jxke, i think you want to drop the rpm's with changing the diff, changing from a 4.1 to a 3.89 your rpm's will drop just 200 rpm changing from a 4.1 to a 3.77 your rpm's will drop 330 rpm's with a 3.54 it will drop 560 rpm's the 3.77 and 3.54 diff will sell for about 250 ponds if they are good. i think you still got the 4 speed in your car, trow it in the dustbin, and put a 5 speed in the car, your rpm's will drop with 700 rpm, and your car still will pull as fast as it dos now. the other option is juse a mk1 capri axle, if you are Lucky you can find one cheaper than the other diff's, or a cortina mk3 or4 or 5 koln axle, these had a 3.45 ratio, you have to shorten it, and you halfshafts off your escort will fit, by the way it's the axle with the small diff, not the big one, these got halfshafts with big splines. the capri axle got big splines, and 4.1 3.89 3.78 3.44 3.22 and a 3.09 ratio in them. if you change to a 5 speed, you need a rs2000 or automatic driveshaft, and your gearstick will be closer to you handbrake, you need to cut a new hole, and the best thing is change the tunnel with one from a automatic, you can buy them from magnum, you have to put your pedals a bit to the right, by cutting them and reweld them, but then you can take the box in and out without lossing anything, other wise you have to drop de frontsuspention. i hope this helps, and not make the problem any worse, the things sound easy, but every thing involves some work, but you get a great car for it, cheers marcel

hi, i needed to get a carb cleaned for my van, and i saw this here, i bought a cleaner, a 3litre one, it's a bit small, but it''s juseable, i put the bottom half off the carb in it, on 60 degrees for 10 min, then turned it around for an other 10 min, did the same for the other parts, and jused the stuff what jp jused, i have to say it works fantastic, i put the carb on the van, and it run great. the sonic cleaners on ebay are cheaper than in holland, my cleaner works for me, and for the best price here in holland, cheers marcel

hi jp, don't juse the mk1 fiesta disc, juse the mk3 fiesta disc, you only have to turn the inside out, about 1 or 2 mm, they will slide over the originale halfshaft, cheers marcel

i polished my rs wheels myself and painted the spokes with a bruss, not with a paintgun, after that i put some clear lacquer over the wheel with a paintgun, they will stay nice for about 5 years, after that you will get some rust under the clear coat. for painting the spokes, just use the 2k paint and harderen, no thinner, and a bruss with hard hairs, the paint will just flow together, you can't see afterwarts that it's painted with a bruss, save's a lot of time, cheers marcel

if this will go ahead, it will go the same way as the ford fair, it jused to be mostly old skool, when the plastc arrived, the old stuff stayed away, i did the first and second year of the classic ford show and the ford fair, the classic ford show was great, the ford fair was crap, so i only did the classic ford show every year, old stuff and no plastic. i probely will go, but if there is to much plastic, it will be the last show, i won't drive 500 miles, book a ferry, somewhere to sleep, to see cars with a value of a 100 ponds scrap. if we buy a the tickets, and go with a classic, there will be no room for plastic. you would get depressed from this news. if it's crap this year, i will find an other show in england, it's a great shame if this would happen, it's the best show in the world, much love from holland, anglia58

hi, i have to drive 500 miles to get there, all the way from holland, i have been there from the first show they had, and i will be there for all the cf shows that will be there, or at an other place, i hope that they can sort out the coming and going, this year was a lot wors than other years, but please do all come, i think this year was the best show, i would like to thank every body who made this happen, cheers marcel
