  1. So now the fuel pump is knackered What's a decent fuel pump for a 2.0 Pinto then folks. Anyone have one? Might have answered my own question yay Tickfords. Stand down
  2. The white stripe option is subtle and looks good.
  3. Hello, sweet ride, lovely stance.
  4. Nice OSF. Long drive to Santa Pod from there...
  5. Can anyone point me in the direction of a thread (or anything) on sorting my paintwork out. Turns out the last paint job it had was below par and it would be nice to keep on top of things. Just small rust tears and bubbles here and there, nothing major...yet.
  6. My parents bought the MK2 Capri just under a year after I was born, trading in their MK3 Cortina. It's always been there, my brothers, sister and myself all had our first drive in it after passing our driving tests. So when it had been laid up for 13 years and my Dad asked if I wanted it I couldn't get it working fast enough. Now it's both my daily and a money pit! But I won't ever get rid of it, it's become a family heirloom which will eventually go to one of my daughters.
  7. I'll leave it to everyone to make their own jokes up...Sorry Vista, couldn't resist.
  8. I do a lot of my work out of a warehouse in Redditch, I'll ask the petrolheads the next time I'm up there in a week or so.
  9. Maybe I should attempt to make the auto choke better instead, it's just been a bit crap since getting on the road nearly 3 years back. Hmmm what to do... Cup of tea and a think time.
  10. Mucho information! Thanks, I'll look into that.
  11. Hello everyone, I'm trying to get my hands on a manual choke conversion for a twin choke Weber, any ideas? I've tried the usual fleabay route, missed out on one and the other is pricey, I'm guessing they just cost a lot now...
  12. According to my VIN my Capri was built 40 years ago this month! Milestone tastic! Must be time for it to have a mid life crisis. its had new wing mirrors, a K and N filter and a wash and wax as a present.
  13. Down these parts I found a chap called hydrodip-exe.co.uk. From what I can gather rather than wrapping, a solution is sprayed on in any colour (pearlescent types included) but when dry it can be peeled off, kinda like when you peel pva glue off of something. Doesn't damage the paint underneath at all. He quoted me £100 to do just the Capri bonnet but a whole car would probably be the same sort of price as a wrap.
  14. Woohoo
  15. I may have hoofed around the Devon countryside a bit. Then went for cider. (After I'd finished driving obviously)
  16. I take it the top lot of cars in that Coys link are the other cars from the series, in which case....how freakin much???!?!?!?! I enjoyed it anyways, especially the look on that chaps face as his rally escort was driven really badly by the host!
  17. Won't take much to be better than Classic Car Rescue, that makes me shout at the telly
  18. Ha ha, it's not a grumble, thought I'd share my latest supermarket foray.
  19. Cheers Scott
  20. Testing testing
  21. Still nice out, just washed, armour shielded, blacked the black work, buffed the shiny bits, all prepared for a pootle over Dartmoor from Exeter to Plymouth to see my grandkid and daughter. Being out of work can be sweet.
  22. If I click on the image button above a box comes up requesting the image url, when I paste from photobucket nothing happens. Doesn't upload and I can't get rid of the box by pressing cancel. Don't know if its your end or my end but I cant share my lovely pictures with you!
  23. I'm sure I read somewhere that by November, I think, you'll be able to pay monthly direct debit, so you can stop it as and when you need.
