I went to a display one weekend years ago and there was a space beside the RS Owners club and I went to park beside them and they asked me to go somewhere else as they didn't want people to think there was an association with me and them cause their insurance wouldn't cover it. They are really paranoid about it. The insurance company would make them jump through hoops! Things are even worse now.

Actually I dont quite think you do. The archive and photo storage of this site after decades of operation are massive. In fact the site had to switch providers previously or face deletion of much of the archived images. The capacity of the site is much vaster than most realize. But any suggestions to cut costs would always be welcome. Also as previously stated there isnt an obligation to contribute but its always helpful. Remember too OSF is a social group that hosts events and attends car display days as well. It much more than just a web forum.

Ahhhh but thats the secret. Buy yourself a bigTurbo and a K&N air filter, turn it into an ugly lamp you know your wife will demand is removed from the coffee table and you bow to her wishes to remove it from the house to some place it wont be seen much? (under your car bonnet if you get my drift!)

It basically pays to keep the site going which is very expensive to run. From that you get a lot of free advice, with many giving so much of their valuable time to help others. The level of support people give here exceeds any site you will find so a little contribution is really appreciated but not expected. Without the help I have been given here I wouldn't even have C Pillars for my car and soon door trims which a member has literally taken of their car to give to me. The value the kindness, generosity and friendship is incalculable.

Our local Supermarkets are using the excuse of the Global Financial Crisis caused by Covid to increase prices by up to 50%. They have had to even hold an inquiry as to their antics but they continue to do it even under scrutiny, they simply dont care if they are caught.

I have noticed that Brexit is used as an excuse to price gouge on postage and shipping by both sides. I have even questioned why postage pretty much doubled and sometimes tripled to me they claimed the red tape of Brexit and when I mentioned i wasn't in Europe they simply said they just do everything the same regardless. to save time.

This is what you get when you keep collecting old classics and shoving them in together in your barns and forgetting about them for decades. Strange evil things happen in the dark and damp. They form unholy unions.

Just get it on tap mate with a hose nozzle straight into the dogs bowl. Works with the roses too when there are water restrictions saves having to put manure on them as well! 😃

When old parts are damaged or worn I simply toss them out and now Im kicking myself that I have been throwing away a fortune from desperate suckers ......... um I mean enthusiasts.

Isnt that the only time you can come out into the light safely without being fried in excessive cancer causing UV radiation that peels both your paint and your skin off with temperatures so high it makes your vinyl trims crinkle up like cabbages? 🥵 or dont you have that there?

Yes I think a lot of companies saw an opportunity to price gouge on shipping costs "claiming" it was Brexits faults and they didnt bother to distinguish between Europe and other parts of the world. In reality their costs never changed.
