  1. And yeah dal it's a name, but unfortunately I don't have the power to change titles, unlike a certain northerner! As col, he has the power - apparently
  2. Ok more than average........I mean you look up too me
  3. Paul how can you say your average........I am average, your like a sasquache lol! No wonder leathers always felt uncomfortable!
  4. Welcome nick, great looking car.........While I was laying down on my side! You gotta love an escort. Unusual colour scheme for a mk2, but looks good, put some decent pics up when you can. Red and gold can work on other models too. Mk2 cortinas, mk1 escorts......oh and angle boxes! See you down box hill next year........you can't miss mine! Enjoy the site, and any questions just ask..........Loads of guru's on here, plus plenty in training! Pete
  5. We have the let's go for a blast on a Sunday brigade here, in tea shirts and shorts! Usually with their Doris on the back with the same state of undress. But they are not British bikers. I remember seeing a bloke come of an old rd350 on pier hill in Southend, when you could ride down it, it was a hot summer day and he was in shorts and wait for it.....flip flops, he came a cropper doing 30 ish, I can still remember the screams, he was trashed.....elbows, knees, ankles, feet, hands and back.........It looked like someone had spread raspberry jam down the road! It's leathers for me, if al, a bit sensibly coloured.........even when I lived in Cyprus and 35 to 40 degree summer heat!
  6. Leo you sound like Clarkson! But I do agree some do ride like plebs, but that's their issue I guess.
  7. Well here's my two peneth. I have standard new m 16 calipers and solid front disks. But I have the mk2 escort rear disk conversion, cossie calipers and fiesta disks. They are all running through the servo. Sweet, no issues and stops a treat. But not difficult when I drive like I am driving miss daisy..............and that's before someone up norf says it!
  8. Yeah Paul particularly Addison Lee, my god.........professional drivers my arse! If your going to get cut up it will be a black ford galaxy with a numpty driving it with his mind in neutral!
  9. Gutted for you mate, fingers crossed for the correct insurance outcome. Please don't paint us all with the same brush! I have been an advanced class 1 hgv driver for 30 years.
  10. Welcome mate, good luck and see you about hopefully
  11. Well I might have been a bit economical with the truth! But I am not saying about which part!
  12. The sense I can do, the money I can't!
  13. You read my mind! Like I said more money than sense
  14. If you can afford a Bentley why would you just not buy a range rover instead of having it converted.........unless your a Saudi sheik and have dosh to burn!
  15. There are a few insurance companies who are site sponsors. Give them a call, they will do a quote if possible, just tell them what you have and what you have done to it, and if they can quote they will. Then you just pick the best package. Good luck
  16. Still ride a stage 2 fazer 1000 most days! Can't beat blowing the cobwebs away. Just have to have eyes all over to avoid the tools who can't be bothered to use the big shiny mirrors on their cars, trucks and coaches! Still makes for some interesting gestures and arguments! Used to go to Thruxton a lot to watch the British superbikes, mental. But not as nuts as truck racing on the fastest track in the UK!
  17. Nice one grandad! Hope everything and everyone is ok. I knew mercs were for grandads!

    Let's Rock!

    Ace of spades.........motor head!
  19. Rottweiler on the back seat, rattlesnake on the front seat. Take of the steering wheel, put in a battery cut out. And finally tie it to something heavy........A bus or a tank maybe!
  20. Think he must have been to box hill before lol! He can drive though! Nutter
  21. As for the fiesta try to make any cosmetic changes tasteful, and try not to do anything to bump your insurance, best to call them. As some insurers will bail on claims if they find out something has been done and they have not been informed. Good luck with it!
  22. Not up to much where you are col, as mentioned in the inspectorate of police forces today.........Hull, special measures or simular. Oh dear, keep em peeled! Mind I don't think Thames Valley came out to well!
  23. And an ass, isn't that a type of donkey or mule
  24. Or bedroom furniture!
  25. Check the index dal, probably the P and A sections!
