Halfords do bbq paint my mate painted hes 5 years ago and its still good just make sure Its keyed using a red scotch brite or anything To key it up and give it a good spirit wipe before Painting and dont put to much on at once.

I smoothed off my old rocker cover on my Old engine when i done oil change i just Took off the rocker cover to fill it up and if it Needed toping up a tube and a funnel down The dipstick hole.

Just watched it what a load of s**t when fat Bloke sacked the painter and tryed to paint It himself it was primed flatted ready for paint Then when they come back its in filler again Its the biggest load of crap ive ever seen apart From chopshop.

When i done my apprenticeship 22 years ago there was About 7 in our bodyshop and if you made a mistake You just put it right thats how you learnt there was no pressure now theres no time to teach anyone and when we have had work experance kids come in few Years back all they wanted to do is fight you or nick things and are just not intrested now at work Its like a production line just lashing cars up day in day out the thing is whos going to work on cars when were dead or to old to work on them With no one being trained its a shame realy for kids who do want to Learn and want to get in the trade mind you i wouldent Recomend it now.

Hcs is the easy way edis needs a ecu to control the advance-retard i use this with mine the megasquirt n spark Ecu controls it.

Mines the same but coil pack is bolted flat under The manifold and i used 2 no 1 orig leads for 1 and 4 and 2 no 2 leads for 2 and 3.

Does sound like you need to bring the gearbox up at the back had the same With mine sump was close to the sump till i moved in up at the back i also Through the retro ford rubber engine mounts away and Used transit 2.5 ones as with the r/f ones it felt like the engine was Going to go through the bonnet every time you gave it beans.

I would stick to the zetec and head you can use a 1800 cvh sump but you will need to bash out the front a bit on one side to miss the oil pump so it meets up with the sump bolt holes as for the pick up 1800 one needs bending a bit i no when i went from silver top to black both sides of the front of the sump needed bashing insted of one side and the pick up needed warming up and bending more cos the oil pump is different. as for ignition you can use hcs ka or fiesta ingniton and coil pack i used this when i had a dgas on mine and worked well. as for engine mounts you can easly make them up ,clutch you can use 1800 flywheel cos its lighter ether get it machined for pinto clutch like mine or use i think 1600 zetec clutch dont forget to put a spiggot bearing in the crank as well,the only thing that costs money is the water rail but you can make that up with a bit of savvi and also exhast manifold.

Yes them tyres were huge used to run slicks on henry high rise's old wheels for the strip i used to have to put the grip juice down after the burn out Shame the car got cut up in the end he chopped the roof and was going to stick a v8 in it but lost intrest and sold it off in bits one of his big regrets, it was mint as well and had history.
