I remember it very well and was only saying i wounder what happend to it a few months ago i no it looks a bit sad but in its day it was quite clever even the hub caps lighted up. As for the cruise it was the best thing ever my dad used to take me when i was a nipper and me and george (oldschool geezer) used to get the bus up there if we couldent get a lift until we could drive i was gutted if i missed it.

Ive been looking everywhere for an old pic of it ive seen it some where if any one finds any post them up. Its a shame he left it to rot whats the story why did he leave it outside. also looks like its lost its vinel roof. any pic of the interior.

Got them on mine there fine and norm 2" u bolts are long enough.

That is truly gutting i dont no what goes through there heads id love to catch them but i think i would end up killing them.

Zetec ive been abusing mine for well over 4 years and only just geting tired. The only dilema do i go black top for the next one does anyone no whether its worth it.

Dont under estamate bike carbs when my mate had them on his 20l pinto it flew and had shit loads of torque and very very reliable. Why not try my set up bike throttle bodys megasquirt n spark ecu and only stands me in £250 tops.

Forget that post ive been told it a defo no no only use good quality 5/30 semi or fully sinthetic oil as i norm do it was only cos i had some knocking about and i thought i saw a thred on using it on high mileage zetecs.

Has any one used 10/40 semi oil in a silver top zetec and do you no if there would be any probs using it.

Thanks i will give it ago when i get some free time and let you no how i get on. I have been mucking around for ages with the boost comp adjuster but i couldent get it over 15 psi so uping the fuel should make it boost more.

Does any one no what you can do to give a mk 6 escort td engine more power as mine is lacking it.

I use megasquirt on my zetec for about four years and made it myself out of a kit soldering all parts on to the circuit board it was a bit scary but i like a challenge and never had and probs and theres lots of help on the net and mike (zetecvan). I dont think it was that difficult to install and for 150 quid and a free donor car for all the injector and sensors wiring and fuel pipes ect it was a bargain. i think the hardest part is trying to get the fueling right the best thing i have bought is a wide band o2 sensor and dash gauge so i no whats going on through out the rev range theres even a programe that analyses the fueling and changes it to what it thinks is right. As for rolling roads there are quite a few now that will tune megasquirt i dont no what there problem is anyway most other fuel and spark tabels are 12/12 maps anyway my mate with st170 turbo engine uses one near stonehenge they specialise in ms and they charge 65 quid an hour and he says they dont normaly go over that.

I think mine are 48mm and they taper down to 42mm at the bottom not sure as i havent messured them for years. As for fuel pipes sensors etc i striped a 1995 escort xr3i that i was given for nothing and took both flow and return fuel pipes and push conectors and took as much as the wiring and plugs for the injectors water temp + mat sensor so i dident have to muck around with dodgy terminals and it all goes to the megasquirt realy board that i would recomend geting as it makes thing a lot easier. As my tank had no return i welded one on to the tank and put a bigger flow pipe in it and i use a range rover fuel pump that has to be lower than the tank and xr3i filter. You will need to use tps sensor the one on the bike tbs will be fine and you will need to weld in a bung for o2 sensor on your manifold so you no how its fueling i use a wide band lc1 sensor and controller and dash gauge so i no whats going on while driving and tuning. I bought mine for 150 quid off some one on here years ago but it came as a kit and i had to solder all the componants myself and i had to modify it to run spark on edis it wasent that hard to do and theres lots of help on the internet. Have a look on ebay i think you can buy ready made with spark output already buit in with out the need to use edis unit just plugs straiaght into the coil pack for about 250 quid but dont hold me to that.

I cant see any probs using them im using gsxr 750 k4 bodys on mine with megasquirt n spark on my zetec and it goes very well.

Good results i love it nice to see a zetec making good power it almost makes me put a turbo on mine thats if i win the lottery.
