  1. My Dad just bought 2x K11 Micra service kits for our cars, one for his and one for mine. Absolute bargain off eBay - spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, particulate filter and oil filter all from decent brands in one kit for £12.99 with free delivery!
  2. You just need a push switch which is activated whilst the gear stick is in the reverse position. You won't need to modify the GB at all hopefully.
  3. Count me in. As someone who was very excited initially to hear that the tour would be moving around to different venues/moors I am very much hoping for something new from the tour itself this year if the venue will be remaining the same.
  4. Many thanks for sorting out delivery of my slam panel Chris. Hope you had a good day there mate. Let's be honest, if it will on raining hard at a car show, a rally day seems like the most appropriate?
  5. Plenty of car shows here in Gloucestershire are free when entering as an exhibitor. Me and my Dad pretty much only do a show if its free. I don't want to pay to be part of the show!
  6. Oh dear - I'm guessing not the first time you have issues at wrong time haha Gotta love old cars!
  7. Really wanted to join but clashes with Cortina day! My Mrs would probably like the black snail, she has awful taste in cars haha
  8. Oh dear, what a shambles! I didn't make it down with the Cortina and my tickets were not put to good use either unfortunately. I will be there this Sunday though for another show and me Dad's taking his 280zx.
  9. Paying out didn't pay off in the end! I can't make it anymore as I am now heading over to deepest darkest Wales that day to strip down 2x MK3 Cortinas. Does anyone fancy my OSF club stand car pass? It is not specific to any vehicle so anyone can use it. If anyone does want it they can have it for free other than postage which will be a quid or two.
  10. £18 is more than I am used to paying for a show - often don't pay anything at all as an exhibitor. So here's hoping that it was worth pushing the boat out for this one.
  11. Just out of interest - is Towcester pronounced 'toaster'?
  12. I'm loving the 65 Cadillac
  13. You Escort guys are fecken crazy! Not being funny but it probably wasn't even for an Escort - we all know the type. And if it has been chopped about then as far as I am concerned it's no longer an original loom for a specific stupidly over-priced car - at that point it becomes a jumble of grubby wires in a bag. And I've already got plenty of those haha Also, I should point out that I would never have chopped about an original Escort loom, Mexico or otherwise. But I saw a crappy old loom and thought I'll see if I can get it cheap for the connectors, boy was I wrong.
  14. Ouch, that'll cost you! Don't mention the M word I didn't even mention it when I was at the 'Bristol Classic Car Show' a couple of weeks ago (which is actually about an hour clear of Bristol) and I still copped an ear full from the typical jumped Ford seller. I was interested in a chopped-about engine-bay-only wiring loom that I found in a grubby bag on a stall with Ford products. Only wanted it for some of the connectors. Your man barks £250 for that one mate, never been fitted, still in original bag, specific to the AVO Mexico RS2000 blah blah I just walked away laughing...
  15. What, like get one of their locomotives upto 88mph you mean?
  16. That's a well trained Husky, most would have been long gone the moment they are off the leash.
  17. Fair enough - to be honest I am still bitter about being the only one who actually got out of my car to go and check the number on the bridge - and being denied a point in the quiz because even the quizmaster hadn't gone over to check it was a 5 and not a 3 (or vice versa)
  18. Dates are fine - shame it will be the same venue though. We were hoping for another moor!
  19. Perhaps if you do end up splitting the cars into groups it could be by speed? I just wanted to potter through the moor in my Cortina but I ended up having to gun it just to keep up with the Escort boys last time. Speedy group, normal group and pottering group. All drivers self-diagnose their preferred pace beforehand and join the appropriate group and agree to keep to the pace of that group? I get that I had my own set of directions and I could have simply let everyone else tear off without me (which happened anyway haha). But I actually like driving as a group and part of the fun of any tour is touring with other OSF drivers.
  20. Right, we set off in the morning, so I will see you guys down there. Sorry to say we are staying near Torquay so won't be able to meet anyone beforehand but we will be there at 9 on Saturday for the Grand Tour. Plaques at the ready lads! I'm looking forward to it, not sure about my gf though haha. Temp is quietening down nicely. We are taking the north road through Bridgwater and then Tiverton then under the M5 at Exeter and out onto the coast road (A379) down past Teignmouth. Never tried any of these roads before so should be fun. Fingers crossed!
  21. Surely Glastonbury is the much much bigger issue with using the A303? We are using the north road (A38) and avoiding the issue entirely, hopefully!
