Brenda and I renewed our wedding vows and no longer up for sale. Today i treated her to a rolling road set up She made 115 bhp and 124 lbft.the car is 100% better allround. We will need another session as they did not have a specific jet so some compromises were made to improve driveability with the 38 weber. There is more power and it will be released soon. I viewed a twincam a few years ago, and asked the owner why he had a rubber flap over the hole, rather than the plastic moulding. He said that's how the early cars were like. I will look for the photo. The flap was about 2 in wide x 3 inch long and black rubber

I like mk1 orion but in white or red. Has to be a ghia though.no DIESELS here. Got my eye on a mk1 fiesta non standard. I have had a cheeky bid on a mk2 fezza as well.

Two local guys turned up today to view the car. "Oh my it has been modified and not standard " they said. I think the ebay add says it all. Don't you hate your car being criticised ...I was quite angry .

29th Sept now. It was supposed to have been last Tuesday but I could nt get it to run or rev. Found a split carb 2 servo hose. It was a silicon hose that went brittle. Will have to get a proper hose. On a positive the car is going so well. It drinks fuel but the RR and less right foot will sort it.i was out for about 2 hrs on Monday night. The servo pipe split outside the garage but too dark and late to sort before RR. I fitted headlight washers to Brenda. Easy to do.one non return valve and a u bend and sorted.

I got 2.8 capri brakes and vented discs. Works ok for me and no plans to upgrade.never had brake fade when driven hard.

Took Brenda out this evening. 15 mile run to crickhowell and back. I gave her a hard time but she did not let me down. The new headlights were awesome. The pinking issue has gone and running at 78 degrees which suits the engine. Used some rain x treatment on the windscreen , great product.

A gold granada coupe. It looked nice but also rather odd. It had ghia wheels and was going very well. Spotted in monmouth Early granada consul like sweeney had. Again in gold but with brown vinyl roof. Spotted in abergavenny

Yes there is an led light bar. I wanted better lights but not traditional 2 up 2 down. You need good lights when driving over the Brecon beacons. Loads of horses up there.

These are for a Jeep. The Drl are not the sidelights. Easy to fit.

Got the mk2 out today. Engine run in and settled down after some initial concerns. Good run over the Brecon beacons and Fochriw. Car is much better with fr30 cam and now running a 38dgms jetted and set up for 2.0 pinto. Thrashed the arse off it.

There is a hole next to the vac advance The other hole would need drilling It's a great carb and when new made a huge difference

I removed all the choke flaps and linkage. Knife edged the butterflies Bought a kit that changes carb operation to a dgas.it has an extra hole in venturi so both chokes open and squirt petrol immediately I changed the linkage to get rid of the bar and remove any slop. K and n filter Cleaned up the inlet manifold with a dremel to remove casting marks. Pump pedal 5 times starts and idles nicely.
