I went to Mike Harris today (Joe Lyons) and he thinks it's more head related. He is going to pop over and have look and listen with cam cover off. The bottom end does need a refresh and noted a 2.1 recon short engine on eBay. Had my first complaint tonight relating to the escort. The doris opposite could not sleep as the lights fully illuminated her bedroom lol. She does make me tea and keep an eye on the garage though.

I was thinking of putting 4 X spots on the escort. Thought I would be different and fitted a 20 inch LED light bar recessed into the front grill. The entire kit was less than £25 and the lighting is amazing. Will get some pictures later but it is discrete and better spread of light. The kit I bought came with loom, switch and relay. Really pleased. Now I just need to sort the tired engine.

Looking on fleabay I can see metal ones. Here is a picture of mine. My car was originally an automatic crossflow converted to manual pinto. Maybe I need rs2000 pipe with some mods to suit bike carbs.

I have a suspected air leak in the servo pipe to the carb. It looks like a plastic tube rather than rubber. Any idea on what I need to buy . Ie size ,specification ,supplier etc. Neil

This didn't surprise me. Broke down while on the rollers. Chinese fuel pump gone AWOL just relying on a bit of gravity to get fuel to the carbs. Good these rolling roads are as they load up the engine and surprising what you find. The petrol pump was clicking on start up as normal , some flow but no pressure.

No leakers. They come with 16 nut caps and ford centre caps. These are not banded mk3 escort wheels. Bolt straight onto escorts capri cortina etc. They come with 5 mm spacers in case you need to clear anything. 16 wheel nuts included. I will get some better pictures as the wheels are now a darker grey colour. Looking for £150. Neil

Picked up my new car today. It's got a DSG gearbox. Impressed hell yeah , so easy to drive and effortless. Can use it like a manual and has flappy paddles. Boys and their toys as my significant other says.😀 This evening I took the escort out.it coughed sputtered cleared its throat and still brought a smile to my face

I have had mine on eBay twice and both times took it off sale. About 2 weeks ago I wrote a new advert. I don't have much time and when I do find time, I am rushing jobs. Sometimes I don't see the car for weeks and makes me mad when it won't start. I won't sell it now and will keep it. Even though mine is a fooking shed on wheels it always gets attention and someone's dad has always got a free leeter capri in the garage.

I think the huntsman was a run out model prior to mk3 introduction.i think it was based on GL models with sports wheels and trim.
