  1. can i just clear up. you would only need this sort of speed sensor bracket. if in your mk1 or mk2 escorts you have fitted may be a zetec and A DIFFERENT GEARBOX, SUCH AS MK5 OR RX8 MAZDA that req a speed sensor to trigger the speedo on a aftermarket dash, such as, AIM SOLO HALTECH STACK RACE TECHNOLOGY DASH2 AEM ELECTRONICS. or similar req a electronic speed pickup.
  2. r8 gearbox has not got this function as its speedo is controlled by the ecu in mazda. depending on your dash , might be able to connect speed sensor that picks up a signal by using the bolts holding front disc to hub, to calculate the speed, this is where that bracket will help. cheers
  3. it picks up on a bolt head that hold hub to brake disc, and as they are all new wont be a problem.

  6. Hi graham It's only fitment is run on mk1 and mk2 escorts if you are running mx5 or rx6 gearboxes as they dont have any form of speedo cable fitment. As its controlled by the mazda ecu. And so need a speed sensor that picks up on front hub bolts as a way to determine speed once connected to a aftermarket dash. Hope this explains things. Sent from my SM-S711B using Tapatalk
  7. Updated pic of bracket. This one is zink. New ones are 316 stainless, Because of someone not being fully informed of its intended use and fitment. Sent from my SM-S711B using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks dave. I purchased the zink one to fit to my project. But found the quality not as I'd expect. So I thought. Let make it from 316 stainless, so it would last. Then I thought maybe someone else would like this sensor bracket in stainless. Cheers Sent from my SM-S711B using Tapatalk
  9. ideal if your running a zetec in your mk1 or 2 with a mazda mx5 or rx7 gearbox, and aftermarket dash, as you will need this to run a speed sensor off front wheels.
  10. no con. i purchased the zink one, then had them made in stainless steel, as there would be no rust issues, the weld on bolts, just allow you to remove steering arm bracket without removing brake disc, for futher work. the speed sensor bracket is req to read speed if using another form of dashboard, as i am running DASH2
