  1. Was looking through some old pictures I took and I found this picture of Posse's Old MK1 Van and him in the background Its strange because I didn't even know about the forum until I saw the van that day and I didn't know who he was at the time and I've just found this 6 years later on as this was taken at the Bromley Pageant in 2006. Thought id share it with you all
  2. dont bother with those mate, use a socket extension and look down it and use your eye to align it, that's how ive always done it and never had any problems Only other tip is might be easier to take box and engine out complete and then attach gearbox to new engine and fit back in as one lump as its not much harder as long as you get the right angle when lowering it back in. You will need a decent engine hoist. Lots of cups of tea and take your time mate. Hope this helps you, if you was closer I would happily come and lend a hand

If they bolt to the car through the floor get straight My car has the early type with the shocks bolted to the bar underneath with an eye to eye fixing on the shock absorbers. Does anyone know what type I need for sure as I don't want to order the wrong one I keep hearing different things from different people and really dont want to get it wrong

  16. As above been looking around to find someone but no joy. I need someone who has the equipment to take out the centres on my rs alloys to 70mm to accept the rs centre caps. I need 2 wheels doing as 2 are off of a JPS capri. Im pretty sure they are currently 63mm centre holes. so its not a huge amount that needs to be taken off. I am in the South East London Area so anywhere local ish is fine. any help would be greatly appreciated. this is something ive needed to do for ages and ive just not been able to find someone to do it. The wheels are the ones on the rear of my car in my signature picture. cheers
  17. As above has anyone got the diagram which shows you where you need to cut around the gearbox hole in order to get the stick in the correct place one you spin the cut out piece around 180 degrees I saw it somewhere before with some measurements etc and now i cant seem to find it
  18. Dont like to say it, but i did list that as well i know mate thanks for that, i was about to throw a screwdriver accross the driveway and me dad came out and found the problem in about 10 mins i guess i wont make an auto electrician Once i knew the fault was the stalk it was an easy fix drilled out one of the copper rivets cleaned it all up and put it back together with a small phillips screw job done took the old girl out for a spin last night and kept up with a 2.0 tdi audi a3 and then a 2.0 tdci mondeo well pleased with that not bad for a 1600 xflow only running a twin choke weber and bcf2 cam thanks for all the advice chaps
  19. W*ayne after loads of mesing about with test wires and trying different things It turnt out to be that stalk, it was a bad contact i drilled out the copper rivet cleaned it all up and re assembled with a little Philips screw job done cheers mate
  20. ah ok thats why i could not find a relay i was looking everywhere. I got my brother to do the lights with a temporary live wire in place and it gave me everything back working again sidelights, dipped and main beam and my flashers So gonna jus neatly run a new live today and loom tape it all up, i was gonna use some fairly heavy wire for it similar to what was originally used.
