well, at work we hardly touch an angle grinder because we work on crap modern cars, but at home, i wear gloves if i know im going to do a fair bit of grinding, but if its just a quick flattening of some bit of welding i wont bother if my gloves are at the other end of the garage or if i cant find them at hand, i dont find them resticting with regards to control of the grinder, its the same with or without gloves, i suppose ill be sorry for not wearing them if something goes wrong, but thats how it is when your working with dangerous tools. i ALWAYS wear box goggles though, getting a nasty gouge in your hands is one thing, but losing your sight is another.
