It's got to be mk1 golf gti.1.8s a better bet. Had a good few of them being a vw nut and i cant fault them. Prefrebly a later 1.8 , My last one had over 148 k on the clock and it ran like a sewing machine. Have to say it was well looked after by it's previous owner.And myself. I personally loved the car to bitz. I agree with gaz some what though,new vws arnt the same as they once where.Built very well but they do have a lot of problems with electrics etc.. Had recent new dubz and had nothing but agro with them. Tim
