My nephews got one with a 2.5 V6 calibra engine . It's rapid as most things ive drivin, goes like stiNck,hes selling it too Not to my taste because its got those huge bumpers/spoilers on it. I WANT BUBBLE. Looks a cool ,hard mk1 you've got there feller,nice one,good look with it. I'd love a mk one with bubbles on me. My last mk1 i owned many yonks ago had mint rear arches on when i bare metalled it and i would of been bonkers to go for the bubbles. Tim

I had a bunch of ruffians next to me at the lights last week in a bmw. laughin there heads off they where lookin and pointin at me in me mk1 tina. Got the shock of there lives when i lit the rear tires and took off like a rockit. Next set of light one of them shouts "goes well that mate!" i hope you still ate it how did it stay on your trainee Haha. I havent a clue why it stuck on feller. All the yoke bit mixed with a bit of grass and dust off the floor was a little off putting . So i just swept it off with me other trainee,haha. Tim

Hi Nick. I used to collect classic tamiya models up until about 4 years ago. I had at least 8 sand scorchers and four rough riders,plus absalutely tons of spares for them.All kinds off literature too,which now can be expensive. I also had a super champ which was an improved sandscorcher type chassis and a smarter body than the rough rider.. As i am a vw nut or i was a vw nut ,i just had to have them as they are true gems. I used to advertise in the rc mags for tamiya parts wanted and the phone never stopped all week long. This was before ebay became what it is now.Where anyone can sell stuff on. I also had an original f150 truck with the proper body too,which was poor but chassis was vgood it went for daft money when i sold it on ebay . I had a few others besides . I sold the lot to put towards my massive collection of rare scalextric cars/buildings etc All of which i have also now sold to plow into my mk1 tina and a few other things I had all kinds,sold the lot now.I miss playin about with them.. Good that you have something to keep you occupied matey. Take care Tim

I had a mint vw camper nicked 13 years ago from blackpool and i saw the twat nickin it when i was on the Tram with my late mum. I seen him again in it 12 months later and i was goin the wrong way up a fookin long duel carrage way and by time i turned round it had gone. If i'd of cought the shitbag i'd of ran over the fxxker.
