Hi Nick.
I used to collect classic tamiya models up until about 4 years ago.
I had at least 8 sand scorchers and four rough riders, plus absalutely tons of spares for them. All kinds off literature too, which now can be expensive.
I also had a super champ which was an improved sandscorcher type chassis and a smarter body than the rough rider..
As i am a vw nut or i was a vw nut ,i just had to have them as they are true gems.
I used to advertise in the rc mags for tamiya parts wanted and the phone never stopped all week long.
This was before ebay became what it is now.Where anyone can sell stuff on.
I also had an original f150 truck with the proper body too, which was poor but chassis was vgood it went for daft money when i sold it on ebay .
I had a few others besides .
I sold the lot to put towards my massive collection of rare scalextric cars/buildings etc
All of which i have also now sold to plow into my mk1 tina and a few other things
I had all kinds, sold the lot now.I miss playin about with them..
Good that you have something to keep you occupied matey.
Take care Tim
