I sold a nice lotus rep mk1 tina and bought a superb mk1 rs2000. No contest for me mk1 tina. They just drive superb.Mine did. Yes it had its steering box,suspension joints etc all rebuilt, Yes it had single leaf mk1 escort rear springs.(thank god for mk1 escorts) haha Yes it had a stonkin 1700 x flow,all of which which i fitted myself. But the balance of the car was just superb. I absalutely love mk1 escorts to bits.In my view they are on par with mk1 tinas in the looks department and ford got them both spot on when they designed them. But i find the escort a little twitchy ,a little nervous if you like ,almost too resposive compared to a cortina on the road. And that's after having a lot of mk1 escorts when from when i passed me test at 17 up to my late 20's. That's in no way me slagging escorts off,i'll probably get another on soon knowing me. Quite true i agree . I only started smoking about 5 years ago and i smoke quite a lot. I smoke because it make me feel better and believe it or not i smoke on doctors orders,i have a serious bowel desease and the only thing that helps me is smoking,sumit in the nicotine. I had two options,have all my intestines removed or start smoking,5 years on im still here. The steriods they have been giving me before i started smoking have done my liver in and god knows what else,theres a risk in smoking i know but i'd sooner smoke than take the side effects of the treatment. Now i smoke in my car and i smoke every where I go and i hate second hand smoke Just like anyone who doesn't smoke .And i hate anyone who smokes in front of kids. But COME ON what next... Will they ban farting? .Because of CO2 emisions. Tim
