  1. Black.....Has to be black....Black is BAAAD!
  2. I gave up watching the soaps so that I could spend time in the garage. I've also given up about £10k. Worth it tho'
  3. Don't like it. Far too fake. If they'd have converted a real (aluminium bodied) Cobra then I might be more interested, but it's basically a box section chassis with a big engine and a lot of fibreglass. I've got two genuine early 1960's leaf-sprung 289ci Shelby Cobra's sat in my workshop that would pi** all over that on anything but a dead straight road. Wouldn't mind the engine though!
  4. I've got the RS 8500 (soon to be RS 9000) V6 Cougar 67 Mustang Coupe CBR 600 Wife's got a Fiesta ST Eldest daughter & son-in-law have a 04 Mustang convertible 67 Mustang Fastback & a Mondeo estate. Youngest daughter has a Nissan GT. Almost all Fords!!!!
  5. Everyone knows it stands for First On Race Day!! Couple of great comments about my car: Them: "At least you didn't cut up a real RS" Me : "I did.....it is...." and Them: "Nice Capri mate. I had one of those" Me : "Well you didn't look at it very f*cking closely did you?" and "Why have you got a camera on the bonnet" (?)
  6. Not unless you've got a spare £5K you can give me......
  7. Took out the Escy to Shakey for the first time in a couple of years last weekend (31st/1st). Running strong - full monty rolling burnout - cough - pah! Dragged it back to the pits and yanked off the left-hand head. Crack in number 5 bore, big chunk missing from piston. Block must have got a bit thin with the latest bore, but F*ck me I'm pi**ed off. Brand new 8.5 litre rebuild rendered junk in less than ten seconds. I need a sponsor now or our season is over before it began. Bu**er!
  8. Rostyle wheels, twin-choke Webers and vinyl covered centre consoles.
  9. There are Fiesta collectors throughout the UK............. .............They're called 'scrap yards'
  10. Black.
  11. To answer your questions (and bear in mind this is my own personal opinion): 1. Yes 2. Very well. Just need a bit of patience when you hang them initially, and you'll probably need to re-adjust once in a while. 3. If they are good quality glass which is prepped and painted properly, then no. 4. Yes. 5. Look on my website.
  12. No pics of Jimmys '33 Willys gasser?
  13. That'll be a BRM H16 engine then. Made like two V8's linked by a common crank. Did this engine at college as it was then seen as the most complex engine ever made (probably still is). Look good hanging out of a beach buggy though!
  14. I think the caption should be: "If I close my eyes your knob feels just like a pint glass."
  15. I prefer the subtler style of modification..........
  16. I'm going to chop the roof off my Mustang. Does that count?
  17. Just found details of another one of my OSF's: Escort RS2000 Mk2 DFM 800 S It was yellow (there's a surprise!) and almost mint. I sold it in about 2003, caught up with it again in a friend's transmission garage about a year later, but I wonder where it is now. Unlike the Mex it needed very little work. Another really nice car and (aside from the sunroof) one I'd have again at any time. Enduring image I have of the car was when my eldest daughter borrowed it for a while when her car was off the road, watching it in a perfect tail-out drift around the 'T' junction we used to live on every time she came to visit. "Thrash it Dad? No, Of course not!"
  18. Whaddyermean? Of course it's subtle! I could have put x-pack arches on it and painted it lairy orange. (Now there's a thought!!)
  19. Me Too! We're doing the weekend of the 31st March / 1st April at Shakey. Just put new 4-pots on the front, and (literally) just finished welding up a new methanol tank (just for cooling you understand), so can't wait to try out the new motor and all the mods in anger.
  20. I've got nothing else to add, I just wanted to see it on the first page again!!!
  21. I built a Yamaha 750 in my bedroom. Taking the bits upstairs was no problem, but when it came to removing the finished bike I had to remove the stair bannisters. Wife was well impressed!
  22. More like a 'Not Very Smart Car'. Why would you?
  23. And still with a 1600! Wow!
  24. Just rummaging through some old stuff and I found some stuff about my old Mk2 Mex. It was yellow with a stock 1600 pinto. Reg No RWN 968 S. One of the best cars I ever owned. I sold it about ten years ago to a youngster who couldn't afford to insure it. Anyone know if it's still about?
