yeah loadsa times.
Worst one was fitting a shower mixer. Had to fit the chrome plate behind it, and took the screws out and pulled. Problem was, valves came out, and water was on. And no shower cubicle and the thing wouldnt go back on!!.
Left wife trying to guide water into shower tray (rather then letiing it go clean down the stairs) with a tile (half the water was hot) then went outside to turn water off in the road.
Couldnt lift the flap in the pavement to had to get s screwdriver from now rather wet bathroom. Went outside and managed to turn the water off.
I could still. hear the water running, so thought that turning all the taps on would help, but front door had swung shut, which locked me out. Tried calling through letter box to wifey to turn taps on.
Climbed over back wall, but back door locked.
Wife had sussed out about the taps, and eventually let me in.
But now I couldn't find the valves I had originally taken out of the mixer!! Eventually found them on the pavement next to the stop cock on the pavement.
Not a good day
