  1. Dug out me box of old Ford brochures the other day and thought Id share a few piccys with you(got a new scanner today so had to try it out) All collected from Ford showrooms in the very earlier 1970's when I was young(ish!!). .

  9. For hard road/track use Ive found a quality bolt on strut brace will do the job fine,as regards to a weld on type (I take it you mean the mounting plates for the cross bar welded to the top plates)just as good but will need extra work to redo your paintwork after welding!

  13. You can use the standard copper pipe that corrodes over time or you can use Cupro Nickel/Kunifer Brake Tubing which will not corrode. I have used the latter on my latest build,it is harder to bend and flare and you will need a decent tool for the job......worth the extra.

  20. Looks the nuts mate, reminds me of a lotus 'tina I used to see while waiting for the bus for school(1972!),mettalic blue with a matt black bonnet...sounded the biz as he booted it passed all us watching kids...good memories......
  21. Fear not!!!!!! Hes not going to banger the mk1. I popped in to say hello today and he was working on it,quite a strong shell and I think Im right in saying it might be for sale at some point.

  23. Dont forget to change all your brake seals(master as well),they may not leak now but if they have been dormant for all those years it wont be long. Be safe...worth checking over.
