  1. thats fooked up mate! god you have to pay to park anywhere in portsmouth now! thats one of the bad things about pompy hardly any free parking, pisses me off when you gota pay 1.50 for an hours parking when your guna me 5mins! the poxy uni charge us for permits to use the unis carparks. over 50 quid for a semester! im a bloody student, how am i guna afford that?! just as well they dont check to see if the one you have is real or not, two years free parking due to photoshop but keep it quiet yeh
  2. oh god, thats my worst nightmere! sisters lit'lun is geeting to that age were hes guna wanna start helping uncle Nat with his capri! my sis keeps joking that il come home one day to find him washing my capri with a scourer ! so how comes he wasnt washing daddys capri then?
  3. i had something earlier: i was filling up at the petrol station and a poxy punto was next to me, it had 4 guys in it, all layed back/ badass (you know the kind) and they were pointing and laughing... when we drove out they were behind me, so i just redlined it and dumped the clutch, i didnt actually move forward the rears just lit up and they got a lung full of tyre smoke and black exhaust fumes then i eased off a little an shot off leaving them sat there.... made me feel better anyways. what gets me though is you just know they were sat there thinking that the 1.2 punto they were in was the dogs danglys! hahahahahaha

  10. How many people are going to brands on the 24th? and how many will be coming up from hampshire/ portsmouth area?? ta
  11. Hell yeah! Im up for that!! ive driven the older monaro vxr, albiet briefly and that was awesome! (the 6L v8 jobbie), that had some serious grunt and lit the rears up nicely with the traction control off! i would be very greatful of a ride in your trans am! thanks for the offer! unfortunately im not sure il be about for the june one, as i will mostly likely have gone back home for the summer (at uni in portsmouth atm) although if i can manage to be around on the day il certainly turn up. getting really excited now!
  12. i had a look on the renegades site, some sweet american motors there! corvette, stangs, firebird!! cant wait to see them in the flesh! plus that monaro 500! gota get me a ride in that!
  13. basically my supercharged capri was used as my final year project for uni, and today was the day that our whole building is used to present individuals projects to anyone who is interested. my project title was 'supercharging a petrol engine' and so naturally i had the capri parked up in the large thermo lab and had a poster and working file / report all setup. i spent the whole day talking to people about it, loads of questions about almost everything about it, barely got a breather! i heard that word of the 'supercharged capri' had gotten round the whole building, loads of people talking about it in loads of other areas of the building too! was well good! even had a younger lad interested in it and said he was going to get a capri for his first car- he seemed to know a bit about them too, so naturally i directed him to this site so we may get a new member in the near future! was an excellent day- all my assessors and tutors were well chuffed with it which is a good thing cos there marking me! quality day had im the guy 2nd from left with the grey stripey tie! and the beast!
  14. very nice! please get some high res pics! sweet
  15. rotor arm should turn clockwise... cant see it being different for ford dizzy compared to the bosch dizzy... let us know how you get on!
  16. you need to know the layout of leads on the cap? well hopefully this will make sense: stand in front of your car and face the engine so that the dizzy is to your right. looking at the cap: lead/plug 1: is the top right 3: is the bottom right 4: is the bottom left 2: is the top left. basically start at number 1 and work in a clock wise direction around the cap. this only works if you dizzy isnt 180 degrees out. so firstly set the engine to tdc (with cam markings lining up too) then the dizzy's rotor arm should point north east when viewed from standing in the described position. sorry it sounds lame, but i dont know of a another way with out pics, which i dont have!
  17. well what ever works mate! glad shes a go'in again
  18. is it down on power now or does it feel ok? glad its not fooked!
  19. was that the valve in the block you took out? if so then i had the same thing.. i removed the valve internals and then put it back into the block breather, fitted it to the catch tank and now the engine breaths through that rather than the filler cap.. no more oil/ vapour all over the rocker cover! should only be vapour from the block too, due to the baffle fitted in the block.
  20. hmm might be worth taking the head off should be 142- 170 psi at cranking.. would have thought a holed piston would be much lower. its seems that they are fairly even but all at the lower end of the tolerance.. how many miles on the bottom end? might be a valve or two, or head gasket maybe?
  21. deffo need pics! either seriously polish them, or get them chromed, would look shit hot on with your new paint!
  22. lots of wet rags stuffed in everywhere before any welding takes place! itl stops those molten sparks form ignitiing anything (go on both side of the bulkhead). be bloody careful when you do weld, as one spark is all it takes!
  23. only if it isnt guna receive a load of slagging off. i appriciate his car as much as he does mine. we're both enthusiasts of motors and love powerful motors. His car is a vauxhall astra mk3. and before anyone calls it a heap of shit, you should see it in the flesh, well before the accident anyway. was a bloody lovely motor, that pissed all over my capri (redtop motor with over 170bhp) the shame is the shear amount of blood sweat and tears put into it, just for some coffin dodger to run into the back of it. he did everything him self, and i helped out where i could... so anymore thoughts on what to do?
