The first time I took it for the test I told the 21 year old tester not to waste his time looking for them...... He then took 3 attempts to get it on the ramp (had to get somebody else to do it in the end), had to be told not to do an emissions test (had the exhaust probe in his hand at the time), then fialed her for having a shock absorber on upside down.
  3. I have heard of black ice, what's red ice? Got me worried now
  4. I would so not want to even be seen dead in that. It looks like it's got vomit all over it. that man has a son?? How?? By surrogate?

And I suppose my Anglias not having fog lights would be no excuse either? Let's hope there's no fog or your in trouble SONNY - and leaving it in the garage when it is foggy is no excuse either. my 72 Mk1 tranny wasn't built with a fog light, or hazard or reversing lights. I am waiting for the tug for that.
  7. I don't smoke, but this sounds like yet another way to tax ordinary people some more. It's just playing into the hands of buying cigarettes abroad, as already said, which isn't illegal if done for your own use.
  8. And try www.Gumtree.com. they have loads of sections for different towns and a freeby section. You can advertise for free too.
  9. Grrrr. If that was my house, he would have got a Jack Russell hanging off him and a face full of easy start. The police do their best in these cases, but you know the scrote will be off doing whatever he intended to all over again in the blink of an eye.
  10. I would likle PM notifications, but glad I don't get notifications of post, there is enough in my email as it is! I have turned them off on other forums I am on, you just have to keep coming back!!
  11. Yay!! Always good news to hear.
  12. Breaker breaker you got your ears on? Yup coming back to me too....
  13. Dunno how old you are, but I heard that there is some kind of lower age limit to classic insurance. As I am 45 I am not too bothered about that.
  14. + 1 cortina and + Mk1 and Mk2 transits
  15. Add a Mk1 recovery truck to my list!
  16. Well thanks for the help everybody, but they decided to go with a mustang (I didn't find it). At least it's a Ford.....
  17. Cheers mate! Thats pretty much what l thought!
  18. Just won this off ebay, not seen it yet, but looking forward to it! Obviously it's only good for cars, but TBH that's what we want it for, and it's another tax exempt Mk1 transit! Seriously, we will be available for car collection and delivery, when we have sorted it out (job no 1 is to get the winch fixed or replaced!) It's tax exempt, so a diesel will be going in to replace the V6 essex and a big sign or sun visir will be fitted (DIESEL) so we can keep Ken informed when we pass the LEZ cameras
  19. Our naighbour clipped one of our Lutons when reversing badly, as usual, our of her drive way. I know it was her, cos she did it once before and smashed her back light so I didn't say anything. I reported it to the police and they are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard. Makes you sick doesn't it?

    fog

Better than driving at 80 in fog on a motorway......
  21. That's sneaky!
  22. At least they didn't get away with yours. Is classic thefts getting more common?
  23. I can't sleep in em all, we are down a Mk2 luton as of two days ago, taken from a car park.
  24. Yep, sebring is like that. We have a Mk1 granny/consul on the books that's sebring, the owner has a sticker that says 'RED not orange' on the back window......
