  15. No worries mate i allways have an excess of cortina parts about the yard and front room, kitchen ect
  16. Hewre ya go, hope they help some The lower of the 2 bolts This is the bolt you'll need to move in to counter the neg camber produced as you lower it slotting the hole and using serated washers would make it adjustable ??
  17. Have a look at some locost kit car builds, they use the cortina uprights but with differant style upper and lower wishbones, they arnt a direct replacment cos the inner pickups are spaced differantly but it will give you an idea of what's possable
  18. How would you lower it though? Shorter springs and shocks? I dont know what the Camber will be as standard as yet, but if the camber does need adjusting how do you change the pivot points to correct it?? Greg Just springs and shocks or only springs if it's not going much lower than stock ? Camber you'll need to redrill the inner pivot/bolt hole, i'll get a pc of the spare crossmember i have in the yard tomorrow
  19. any idea what the set up will give you as standard camber wise? the main problem is going into lots of neg camber when lowering the Mk3/4/5 front end but changinging the lower inner pivot point is the easyest way to correct that, in fact early Mk3s ran pos camber, later ones more neg due to moving the lower pivot so if your using and early Mk3 Xmember you can lower more before going into large amounts of neg camber?
  20. perhapas 30mm is total? 15mm each side, that does look a lot when you think the camber increases as the susspension compresses top in is neg top out is posative camber and i'd do it on the wheel not the tyre as the bottom of the tyer bulges with the weight of the car ?? never ever done any susspension setting up using the tyre, even tracking is done on the wheel never the tyre
  21. How are you adjusting the camber? it's not adjustable on the standard susspension? only the trcking is? sorry if i've missed a big thread describing your set up
  22. once you have levered that round black rubber seal the bearing should fall out, the only thing that needs driftin out is the bearing seat (the round ring thats sort of coned) the new bearing is sitting in in the new packet
