  1. The other Day me and Mr WPE were a tad bored and decided to celebrate St Georges Day in Style...ish ha ha
  2. it was bloody freezing
  3. Got an XE in mine now chris, cant fault it at all, though it isnt the cheapest option, but its very similar cost to putting a Zetec in and IMO is a much better engine to begin with.... But some people cant get over the griffin badge . They also have better scope for tuning, again IMO. could convert your pinto to N/A cossie... though that aint cheap either. End of the day its all down to budget and what you want from the finished car. i know your handy with a spanner etc so maybe a complete left field option out there to consider like some of the options Mr2Caps has listed, Good Luck Chris
  4. you have far too much time on your hands buddy... looks good as always
  5. This does not surprise me in the least.... Last year (around november) my elderly aunt sent me a birhtday card, as she always does bless her, she lives maybe 4 miles from me tops, i recieved the card a couple of weeks ago, in a bag saying it had been damaged in air freight coming into the UK...WTF no wonder there putting up the price if there taking everything for a little fly around the world first
  6. yellow will be the illumination feed then if its rev couonter and shift light, wire it into the side light feed
  7. is it just a shift light on its own?.. could be the wire for signal it should recieve from tacho to illuminate at set limit.

    AIR BRUSHING

Popeye... the old mad has a small dedicated compressor for smaller items, think its 25 lite ultra silent jobbie. he uses devilbliss and iwata airbrushes, some are fine some are for broader coverage (as u can probably tell im not upto date with it i just ask for stuff to be painted lol ) as for paints he has hundreds, mostly autoair paints, but quite a collection of house of kolor paints too... go on you tube, look for edd hubbs, richard markarm, mike leveli (sp) chuck bauer....they all have basic tutorials etc. be warned tho its not a cheap hobby, you really have to get a decent airbrush to get a good result. devilbliss, iwata, paache etc. the cheap chinese shite on the bay your better off throwing the paint on also paints can be expensive for the candys, pearls metal flake etc... auto air paints he tells me are much more forgivable then the celly HOK stuff as there water based. if you got any toher questions let me kno n ill ask him

  19. there we are fixed that for u mate
  20. Well done Nick, was destined for a mag!...and top work from the WPE boys as usual! So when do i get a go??
  21. XE is my choice but im biased i spent a long time deciding which engine to put into my Escort, Never considered Zetecs to be fair, not a fan of them knew there were better options. Came down to 3 choices, Pinto, N/A Cossie or XE, XE won on bang for buck..just! The conversion parts do cost a fair whack but an XE is a bit cheaper to tune. I had a National Hot Rod spec XE (with extra Headwork) built by WPE and it goes like a train even before final mapping. My Dad has an Anglia with a WPE N/A cossie and it is ridiculously fast, and my XE is very close to it but the N/A Cossie costs alot more to build due to the cossie tax more labour intensive build etc. i know there are purists out there that would never put a Vauxhall lump in there ford, My very good friend DAZZA is one of them but even he sees the appeal of mine now its built. end of the day Smokem was right its all bout bang for buck...hence a future project being built by a friend will be and anglia with a CA18DET engine from a 200sx very cheap way to get 200+bhp. people will always put various engines in there cars and the scene is better for it too
