  1. There not going to get banned, our joke of a country is a push over!
  2. no i mean if you use the wire that is there for the rev counter that leaves the (currently?) working oil pressure gauge not working, right? but running one wire to the coil would allow both to work?
  3. but ideally wouldnt you want the oil pressure as well, or does it not work?
  4. so does that mean you then dont have an oil pressure warning light?
  5. unless you can find out how its wired in a run a wire urself, i 'think' a wire goes from the ignition to the gauge back out to the coil if its the same as a mk1. haynes manual should show you the loom. i only got mk1 manual's
  6. but under the hood you changed the battery around Yeah had that battery new laying around, found that it fitted with a few small mods lol, other than that its the same really
  7. Here is mine, mint 1300e back when i was 16 in 2003, dont have a pics on the other wheels tho Now, From the out side little has changed really
  8. i would def go for under Axel! would consider it myself either mod mine and add a length where the u bend is or have a new centre section made.
  9. you could use the mani then get a custom manifold back, its a basic system on there probs not cos that much
  10. agree there prob not expencive
  11. http://www.roadrunnermotorsport.co.uk/i ... prices.asp MANIFOLD £220.00 MILD STEEL SYSTEM £220.00 STAINLESS STEEL SYSTE£299.00
  12. had loads of probs with ashley exhaust, the 4-1 manifold didnt fit so had to have it modded, previous manifold i wrapped and it denigrated under the wrap. the centre pipe has been reshaped, and there wasnt a mount on the car where the one was for the rear box so made my own. next time would prob have one of them nice balanced 4-1's made and a stainless center and rear box. BTW you get a twin box or single?
  13. next few weeks once i sorted a few thing i'll get up there. cos the drive to the MOT station last week was disappointing
  14. really..... def need to get mine there as well, wonder how his rollers compare to track n road. I got 119 bhp from track n road last year I didn't enjoy it their either bloke wasNt very friendly also turns out they didn't know wat they wer doing coz my carbs wer jetted wrong. I went to peter Baldwin He was wiked and great bloke soo bloody clever i'd recomend him to everyone!!! His machines are 1980 technology so no printout I'm affraid u can only see it on the screen. The best thing about him too is he has all the spares like if he didn't have those jets I would have had a wasted journey.. My engine is a caterham super 7 xflow it's got alot of headwork done to it the valves are almost toching roller rockershaft and double valve springs double timeing chain pipercross bp285 cam dellorto twin 40s fiesta electric ignition janspeed exhaust and system peter says the thing holding it back now is my cam if I want more power that's wer I need to go next because that's the max he can get out of it. Tbh I thought 285 was a good cam but he recons it's quite mild? Had the same experience at Track N Road, mine made 151 with a missfire at the top end, but they wanted to close up early so it wasnt looked in to and i was left with it as it was that was 1000 miles after its build. My engine builder said to go Peter Baldwin as he is the man for setting up carbs, also good if his got the jets for dellorto's that suit me as i have twin 40's as well. not too worried about BHP as i know its a proven 150+ at track n road, just want a nice running engine!
  15. could u post a graph aswell? what mods you got out of interest
  16. really..... def need to get mine there as well, wonder how his rollers compare to track n road.
  17. the thought crossed my mind many times, when people offer money for it it def crosses my head, but as the car still isnt 'finished' i always think if i went to a show a saw it and had the things done that where needed i'd kick my self, and i wouldnt buy another as its too much work and to buy one done is stupid money.
  18. Theres cars in the vid? must have missed them
  19. thats good power! mine is 1000RPM higher to get that power. where u get it RR-ed?
  20. Sounds about right ! But with fuel prices coming down slighlty i'll get that little bit further If only V-power was cheaper
  21. Nope, mine was set up at track n road after being run in as was a fresh build, now needs the final set up now its been properly run in. Poor MPG is down to the tune and set up of the engine + twin 40's, and the fact power is after 4k and my driving style Then again i never properly worked out the MPG on the new engine, when i was running it in with a 4k rev limit crusing on the motorway MPG was super! did find on the motorway my 1st 1600 on 40's was better than the 1300 on standard GT webber.
  22. And also added to the track front and rear, feels alittle ore stable through a high speed bend
  23. Dunno brought a Mk2 escort boss and wheel and didnt fit my mk1
  24. Meters per gallon not miles lol
  25. i given up working out MPG £10 dont last much more than a run around the block
