sorted, it was the bottom arms, they were 1/4 inch shorter , was told capri ones were the same but obviously not and i didnt measure them accurately before fitting them, can the roll be fitted upside down on a mk2 ?????

Been to T.I.Rallyschool twice and had a right laugh both times. No idea about this 2nd gear business as I we were all urged to go for it and 3rd gear is needed sounds like they may have changed it since he was there, it was ten yrs ago

but surely nothing has been altered , its all gone back as it was apart from what i thought were identical tca,s the track should only be out if the arms are wrong length (which may be possible) or the track rod ends had been off which they havent been touched , ill recheck everything

not sure if its changed the last few yrs but my bro in law went on one near york called t.i rally school about 10 yrs ago , to be honest he said they wouldnt let him get out of second gear and held him back, he was a competant autograss driver with a mk2 back in the day , he was dissapointed that he wasnt allowed to give it a bit more umphh, said he wouldnt go again

you mean the bottom arms, they were printed with a l and r , i put the r on the drivers side !!!!

after stripping and painting and rebuilding my engine bay and all front suspension etc on my mk2 escort why is it when ive put it all back together is my tracking out, its towing out,it was straight before i stripped it , its all gone back together as it came off apart from the only thing ive changed is the bottom arms from a mk2 capri but they seemed identical to my escort ones and surely this would just add camber or at the most make it toe in with the steering been at the front of the hubs and not toe out, im not sure if ive got the roll bar central but even this wouldnt alter the tracking, its not miles out but noticable by eye that its defo out, any ideas, am i missing the obvious , the track rod ends havent been touched ?????????

in my local scrappy is a capri with brand new bottom arms with poly bushes fitted, are these the same as mk2 escort bottom arms, also it has an original capri radio in which i know are rare if anyone intrested , the mw lw styley one , 2 big buttons, one for tuning one for volume, not push button one

ya can garuntee that if became every 2 yrs it would be double the price it is now so tho mot garages wouldnt loose out financially

finally gathered some dosh up for a new set of wheels for my escort, n now i cant decide which ones to get , my choice is either 6 or 7 in minilites or 6 or 7 in 4 spoke revos, only thing s if i use 7,s i dont like the look of the really low profile tyres, but do like how they sit out near the arches, i think im favouring towards 6 inch revos on 185/60,s, i just dont know

ive been a taxi driver in york for 12 yrs, and yes it does cost quite a bit to keep working but i earn an ok living and noone telling me what to do and that itself is worth its weight in gold, i wouldnt change my job i love it
