  1. http://classicsagogo.co.uk/acatalog/Bodywork.html Only £33 for the kit on there?
  2. Probably right there, can't say I was paying that much attention to the 80s video they made me watch.
  3. I'm sure that they have to charge the lower of the 2 prices advertised, I remember working in supermarkets and that's why they make so much of a fuss when you're pricing things up on the shelves; they really made a point of whinging about it.
  4. Late update, anyone reckon this (pricey) manifold with the carbs would do the trick as they're twin as well? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-stromberg-twin-carburetors_W0QQitemZ250576144206QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3a5780874e
  5. I know this isn't Java Green but it saves opening another topic; anyone know what colour the car in this photo would be?
  6. Get into college if you can mate; you seem set on getting a job but I'd say your best bet is to get a trade if you can so: 1) Get a crap job somewhere. 2) Speak to your parents about perhaps borrowing some cash if possible. 3) Save like buggery. 4) Apply for those tests when you've got the cash and work like buggery to get onto the course. But it's easy for me to sit here and say that, having already done my GCSEs, A-Levels & most of my degree. Just have a think and good luck with what you decide to do.
  7. Best thing to do might be to see if you can get to your local college and re-sit some of your GCSEs mate; no harm in trying and it might help you get enrolled on the mechanics' course after a year? Perhaps even if you just pick a couple of subjects, it'd show you're willing to learn and have adopted what they consider a 'mature' attitude? Dunno if that's any help, a lot of my mates that didn't do as well as they'd hoped when we did our GCSEs did that and it did seem to help them a bit.
  8. Trying to avoid seeming stupid but that just looks like an Anglia forum?
  9. They don't seem to have a website though?
  10. Yep, Part No: IM4210 Price: £117.02 (exc.Vat) £137.50 (inc.Vat) Seems a bit steep.
  11. Cheers lads. Will keep that in mind.
  12. Is it do-able? I've seen a manifold that looked right on fleabay once but it doesn't seem to be done very often, I imagine due to restrictions on space with the engine. Anyone mass produce these? Or know of anywhere aside from that dirty place where they can be obtained?
  13. Keep the Pop, everyone and their dog seems to have/want an escort; meaning you'll get good money when you sell too as it'll be quite sought after.
  14. Chill out mate, there's no real need to take that kind of attitude towards it, I did specifically say that I didn't know much about it and Ford's intentions in general and that I was only asking if anyone had seen the concept art?
  15. Afternoon all, On my online travels today I came across the following image: And from this website, allegedly there's rumour of a new Capri? Now I don't know much about the Ford and OSF scene but has anyone come across this before? Link to the article: http://blog.healyford.ca/index.php?m=05&y=09&entry=entry090510-230051
  16. That second looks so classy it puts me in mind of that Aston Martin DB5 from the Bond films, I bet it takes a great deal of time and effort to model those but they look fantastic. Well done!
  17. Snap! isn't yours the same?
  18. I couldn't tell you any further info about this (unfortunately) but my Series 1 MKII Cortina has one of these fitted. Could be that it's an aftermarket that was popular at the time?
  19. Vauxhall Chevettes & Opel Cadets are quality looking motors, there's an emerald green one [chevette] knocking about locally here and it's beautiful.
  20. Bet it took a while to clear those windows.
  21. In future, try checking your service centre/message centre number. You can find it (on a Nokia, anyway) under: Messages>Message Settings>Text Messages From there, a number should be displayed. Check with your provider for what it should be; sometimes they get corrupted or lost, can cause problems.
  22. Yes, perhaps the UK govt should concentrate on getting their money back from Iceland instead of demanding money from the taxpayer in the Isle of Man in order to pay people back the money they lost due to KSF's demise. That's a bloody joke, we suffer because after the rich buggers invest money here, they lose it and the fools in charge here have paid a large sum of it back out of our money in order to placate Gordon Brown and his ilk. What a disgrace that the UK don't have the balls to call in money from anywhere but a defenseless crown dependency.
  23. That new smarmy, self congratulating Renault advert does my nut in.
  24. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cortina-Mk2-1600E-RARE-2-DOOR_W0QQitemZ140372324493QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item20aed7b08d#ht_500wt_1182 Show her how much some daft buggers want for them and convince her you're getting a bargain too!
  25. Yeah that'd be the Rotosound units, well expensive. Well it looks like the mp3 player & amp set-up seems to be the way forward. Is there any extra drain on the car's power or should everything be ok as it is? I'm still using a dynamo, not an alternator so as long as its kicking out the right ampage, everything should be ok?
