always used standard short body lucas "standard" starter motors & never had any probs,so do a few people on here i have sold them to. My old pinto was running 11.5.1 compression & was good on a standard starter mate. What is the matter with your starter?

my old cable i got from r.a.c.e was bit longer & had the metal sleeve same as yours at the bulkhead. ran mine this close to the manifold & it was fine

took a while drilling out all the spot welds & making good the old panel underneath,but a good couple of weekends should see it all done & dusted

i got them from "goldendays" john blyth. I paid £800 for both of them,genuine ford. I had to have them shot blast as they had very slight surface rust on them,but it was better than opening the boot & seeing the mess that was there. that was about 8 years ago though,i reckon you might struggle to find nos quarters cheaper than 4-500 each?? i might be wrong of course

i put 2 rear quarters on my escort,not a bad job to do. Better than patching it up

Like I said, they paid for it with their own money so they are entitled to do whatever they want with it!!! If they were stealing them off the street then that would be a different matter altogether!!! What's it to you if they buy a million pound house, kit it out with top of the range stuff and then burn it down...? If people don't like seeing rare motors get smashed up then... A) Don't watch it and They should have got in there first and bought the rare motor before the banger bos did!! SIMPLES Gets abit boring listening to people whinge on about banger boys! Its their adrenelin rush just like jumping in my escort and going seriously sideways is mine!!! you worded that abit better than me mate. It is a passion banger racing just like you getting in your old fords or working on your old fords. my mate has a black mk2 estate 2.8I ghia x with grey leather seats down the yard going to be raced,pity you would'nt want the interior then really!!!!!

my ego was great when i hit a rare motor at the end of a straight & put the back wheels up over there head I bet most people would snap up some cheap spares off a banger racer,just sold an old 2.3 engine to a mate for a drink to go in his mk2 pre facelift that he had off me that i WAS going to race but did'nt have the space to store it as i already had 22 of the old crappers laying around. End of the day you either love or hate banger racing but for me it keeps the rusty boxy ugly old s**t motors off the road. Thank you

shame to see a minter raced,but as said a banger boy will just see them as a banger not a mint granada. I raced a season at mildenhall & me & a mate started the season with 22 mk2 granadas 3 capris a austin 40r & 3 bluebirds & raced the lot. Don't regret racing any of them as it is like a drug banger racing & till you get stuck in on the track you would never understand. Alot of the bits that have come & gone on my escort have been from cars ive raced so not all bad

english axle? i got a rebuild kit that consisted of bearings & seals then got the crush washer & gasket seperate. I think you can get the kits complete though??
