  1. Looking forward to viewing all 526 photo's mate, get them up here! Mitcham brings back memories as I grew up just round the corner in Streatham Vale. If you're old enough you might've seen my first car (mk1 escort) bombing around in about '82 - '84. Was a 4-door, Ford diamond white top and Fiat Monaco red bottom - bit like the Alan Mann colour scheme but different colours obvs, Wish to god I still had it but the floor was falling out....
  2. at least we all know they SHOULD be less than £25 a pop when MST get their bulk order placed......nudge nudge, 😉😉
  3. Huge panic in Liverpool today! Apparently some Scousers thought Boris said by July every adult would be offered a job.
  4. I remember a mate having one of the fastback/coupe ones (your top photo RallyPack2000) but I seem to remember it was called a Firenza over here?? I stand to be corrected tho'
  5. sorry lads, you'd better send me one over. Or is it 2 for an A5?😥
  6. if the photo was any better you'd see evidence of that difficulty in colour-matching, but I still love my car even in spite the peeling rear seat
  7. Thank you, the dent in the front wing is down to the Mrs (honest). I should've put the whole car behind the wall so obviously it's my fault.
  8. I used to hide the rear quarters but there's not always a wall where you want one.....
  9. Hi Murfeey just a quick apology for not getting back to you way back in October. Had a bit of a time of it since then with jobs (lost) etc. Hope you shifted all those parts ok. All the best
  10. even I would fit under there
  11. wonder how much these are ?
  12. Hi Murfeey do you have pics of the boot carpet and rocker covers? Cheers Andy
  13. 'nuff said I think
  14. to dig the concrete floor so there's enough space for the ramps??
  15. Hi Voodoo, appreciate this is a late query but did you move all those parts on and was it one lot? I'm looking for a set of seat runners for a pair of mk1/2 seats. Cheers Andy
  16. Do you think they'll force aeroplanes to be electric, or rubber-band driven? Or trains and busses? Nah, probably not. Even if they do, unless they have a hooooge solar panel on the roof the power's still coming from burning something else or more cheap labour to wind the elastic. (anyone know of an energy-harvesting system for rubber bands?) This is why the Hell's Angels live their way all day every day. Enjoy what you've got before some to$$pot politician decides to take it off you. Lifestyles and all the crud that comes with them are changing at an exponential rate so all this could bite us in the arse sooner than we want. Because we're individuals and can be bullied around. Don't forget, we elect these numpties so you know what to do about it. Lobby for what we want and vote for the best promises. That's how the eco-warriors and sandal-wearing tree huggers got their way. Politicians don't live the lives we do, so if they get told something by an earnest-sounding young person or a clever-sounding proffessor then they believe it's what everyone wants.
  17. I agree with the comments regarding the show starting to lose it's classic appeal. I understand the need to make the show financially viable, but that's an 'eye of the beholder' sort of thing. If it's for classic cars then the organisers should swallow the fact that there might be less people attending one year, work out why, and deal with it. If they move the goalposts then it will get over-run with modern stuff and ultimately fizzle out anyway because you can see that stuff in the local retail park any day of the week. I certainly don't fancy going to the pod, paying 30 quid to get in (plus a tenner's worth of petrol getting out) when I can roll 300 yards to see the same stuff free (and I only live 10 miles away!). The whole point of classic ford show was to bring them all together and I don't want to walk between the newer cars searching for what I really go there to see. To give some balance, maybe this will eventually happen anyway as the cars we love eventually die? We could even end up with just one run like the London to Brighton....Where's my deerstalker and goggles?
  18. 'ave to wear yer traaasers rand yer ankles bruv....
  19. Hi good people, does anyone have a fiesta mk1 hazard light switch for sale? Nephews car just failed MOT for the switch not flashing!! Is it possible to swap the lamp inside? thanks Daddio
  20. what you got to do is buy the biggest bleedin' jammer you can find, then sit near your parked-up motor and see what happens. If someone plays around with your pride and joy you know where the jam the jammer.......
  21. evening peeps, when is the next meet planned for? I'd like to have a run out for the evening and see the sights.
