lol i need some help with my welding... welding on old rusty cars is so much more difficult than on fresh metal... i jsut cant work out why some of my weld are good and some are shite even when i have ground it back too bare metal etc....

Basically Older Type Fellas... We cant afford too insure very modified vehicles or anything with a big engine... im 18 and i have too pay 1600 quid for a standard Capri 1.6Ls if i was too start modifying it now my insurance would crusify me... im putting a v8 in the capri but i dont expect too be able too insure it till im 21, and even then only if i spend every penny i have on insuring and running it and be a sad fairy who never goes out anywhere etc.... we just dont got the cash or the experience too run against the big boys and be competitive, im not saying winning is everything but if you know your gonna lose than its not that fun where as if u are lined up next too someone with similar circumstances the competition makes it fun...

dear god... i keep finding more holes in my god damn car... this project is getting more than i can handle....... i need emotional support.... and maybe someone who is better at welding than me...

i dont see the point of making things shiny for the sake of them being shiny... however lighter or stronger bits (anodised aluminium, carbon fibre, silicone hoses etc) just happen too look cool anyway... so why not? show that you have gone for the best bits!

as much as is itsnt the right thing to do... im so up for it if it comes too that... kinda more of a last resort tho

now i havnt actually planned anything.... yet... im gonna go and look on some of the tramp drifting sites see where they do it... i aint too hot at organsising stuff so any help would be appreciated.... yea i have got the capri in the wet on roundabouts down too a fine art... lots of welly (no handbrakes thats the poofs way too drift) and some inventive clutch work...

the green bit is hedge...... actually i spose really it should have a barbed wire fence and a tree there aswell cos that what i hit when i fell off the road....

our roads are shite.....

We should do some old skool drifting.... all legit like the tramp drifter's do... i mean alot of our cars are absolute drift-slags anyway (i know mine is) and its possible the most fun u can have beind the wheel... whos in?

lol we do that too any car because failing it on emissions is a pain in the arsehole... you can normally get them too pass after a good hard drive

well blagged.... its still technically a fail but im guessing they dint find it lol

i work at halfords i have too deal with these turds all day long... my personal favorite is when u show them how horrendously wrong they are and they just walk off in a huff
