Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 well done....i was told they are going to be doing a mot every 2 years any one else been told or seen it in writing of this That's right, I heard the same thing. Apparently it is something to do with this interfering EU bo**ix. I think most parts, if not all, of Euope have their MoT's once every 2 years. I am not sure if thats a good thing or not. In respect of us forking out what is now £50 odd quid a year, we should be better off. But, if you hang about in my part of London for long enough, you will soon be thinking that it isn't such a good idea BTW, great news on the MoT mate. I personally hate MoT's. It always feels like I am back at school waiting to do my exams
negri Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 well done....i was told they are going to be doing a mot every 2 years any one else been told or seen it in writing of this ive heard this was being proposed but nothing final has been set i dont think . will be a stupid rule if it is enforced - two years is a long time for any car to go with out checking it over . we obviously are constantly looking over our cars making sure everything is ok . but your average house wife with no knowledge of cars could go months with a a serious fault and that car could end up being in an accident because of this . how many people couple there mot with a yearly service ? people will end up servicing there cars less too making them potential death traps EDITED to say well done on it passing - nothuing better than driving it out knowing its ok for the road
jamesg Posted March 31, 2007 Author Report Posted March 31, 2007 not sure about sunday yet, will keep you posted
