X-pack-Glyn Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Was going along A5 MK yesterday and got snapped doing 59 in national speed limit, single carriageway...no problem, il hold me hands up. my gripe is i passed about 10-15 cars moments before going the other way, and who flashed me? not a single soul!!! So, if you do see a Talivan hidden in a layby, think ahead and give us the nod eh.

X-pack-Glyn Posted April 12, 2007 Author Report Posted April 12, 2007 Yep andrew it is - sometimes they hide another bike cop further down the road to see if people flash - if the copper see you hell get on his bike and pull ye over - saw it on the uk cop program thing - by the way glynn where you actually speeding? - wats the national limit national speed limit for that road, single carriageway is 60 for cars and bikes, 50 for vans (comercial) and 40 for HGV. i saw the programme, yes the driver got a ticking off, but any form of prosecution for it wasnt mentioned was it. im sure the highway code states that the reason you can flash your lights is to warn others of your aproach. if i was stopped for light flashing i would contest it in court, i would be following highway code practice.
X-pack-Glyn Posted April 12, 2007 Author Report Posted April 12, 2007 well a van...hence why ive got a three pointer on the way. road was clear, dry, visability was good, except for the talivan stuck in the lay by. pisses me off in my job, i used to be a good driver, judging distance and speeds for the conditions well, etc. now all i do is look miles ahead for hidden vans half the time, and the other half constantly watch the speed. to be honest all this crap has gone so far now im considering another career.
