Box Hill - GREAT meet

What a day!

 

Thanks to everyone who came to Box Hill today, it was a fantastic meet, and it was good to see so many OSFs there.

 

On a more serious note, we at Oldskoolford have had a call from the owners of Rykers cafe expressing concern about the 'behaviour' of some members Basically the message is this: Any more burnouts in the car park (including the exit) will mean that OSF will no longer be welcome at Box Hill. In addition to this we have had words from the local constabulary to similar effect. So please guys, lets save it for the track

i wasnt at boxhill today so dont know fully what went on and by who.

 

but from what ive seen it looked more like santa pod than boxhill,be a shame if boxhill was lost like the grasshoper meet was and the orginal ace cafe meets cus of people arseing about

Well said over_head_cam. Rykas car park is unfortunately not the place for burnouts. Leave that for Santa Pod etc.

Boxhill is a great place for these meets, lets not loose it.

 

Todays meet was great, long may they continue.

My first time there. Awesome turn out. Some really cool cars, some really stunning work.

I was also amazed at how young some of you guys are! We thought it was really cool it's not just old gits like us into the early stuff!!

I didn't want anyone to think that I was having a go, it was just a way of letting everyone know what has been said by the Rykers cafe owners. We are welcome there, but if they have any more complaints (from nearby residents and the local plod) we WILL be thrown off. None of us want that

Im sure people will understand where your coming from Phil ,fair point well made everyone wants to have a bit of fun and show thier toys off,i may even have been one of the guilty party if i had a car there but like you say this is a great meet and is always top draw and we certainly dont want to loose the venue

we all love a bit of rubber being burnt but i had them all on me tonight saying no more otherwise more more osf meets at boxhill so the next meet please be good it would be a shame to fook it up for others.

in regards to the burnouts, i blame the group of rowdy hooligan kids telling the drivers "to do a burnout coz everyone else has!" Naming noone kieran!!

 

Seriously tho, i love an awesome burnout but i'd hate to lose our slot up boxhill, We've made it our own up there, real south london thing!

as much as i dont like to point fingers.... i totaly agree, my car isnt capable of doing burnouts but i still tried to kick the back end out (i failed misrably)

 

i got told last week by a friendly police man that i shouldn't really be doing it .... i have been a good boy untill yesterday
