my dad sold his mk2 cortina crayford auto in 1992. saw it on ebay about 6 months ago and was gutted!

 

he sold it as a rotter cos he was broke and it was on ebay completely restored for £5k!

 

 

he had a volvo p1800es once and he decided to get a mate to sell it. changed his mind as as he went to get it back. it passed him going the opposite way he has pics of it all over. he loved that car more than my mum

Sold my Mk1 GXL 3 or 4 years ago, it was mint and I've regretted it ever since.

 

Just checked on the DVLA site and the tax ran out at the end of last year nor has it been sorned, hope it hasn't been written off

in the last two years i have owned three mk3 cortys , two mk1 grannys, a zodiac and a 1.3 escort mk2 along with my granny limo which was my first toy and i tell you what i miss all of them!!!

 

but out with the old and in with the new is what i say you can only get bigger and better toys to play with!!!

Ten years ago I ran a Granny MK2 (still the best car I have ever had).

 

The clutch went and I had it towed to a local one man band in Sluff that I used. Unfortunately he was on Hoilday for a week, so had to leave it outside his lock-up. Within the week the local "community" had totally trashed it...every window, every panel, pi**ed inside the lot!

 

I felt thoroughly beaten and had the car scrapped, ..............and have never forgiven myself!

I sold my 3 litre "S" about 4 years ago as I just knew I would never get the time to get it roadworthy. It looked like the one in RF last year, the silver one with a black vinyl roof, everytime I see the piccie in the mag or a similar one I get pangs of regret

I believe its on the road now only a few miles from where I live, but Ive never seen it about.
