ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 A few of the regulars couldn't make the meet, but CapriSun and a couple of his mates did turn up. Plus, this guy who had just got it out of storage where it had been for 6 months. It was unwashed and covered in a layer of dust. He was driving past the pub, saw the cars and pulled in for a closer look. He also owns a couple of mk1 Zephyr & Zodiacs. He couldn't stop because he said he wouldn't be able to get it started again! Caprisun took a video of me leaving the car park in the van, so hopefully he might be able to post that later.

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 29, 2007 Author Report Posted April 29, 2007 Yeah we missed you!! On another note Mike, would you fancy another R/Road day if i can get the info together? apparently its the RSOC at well lane again Not sure. I'm off down to Northampton Motorsport on Saturday morning for an Anglia rolling road day. It would depend on how well or bad the van does!

Slik 50 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I wanted to come today but im trying to save pennys for classic ford day
Trevmk3 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 weather looked better than the first meet, how was your car up the hills mike
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 weather looked better than the first meet, how was your car up the hills mike At the bottom of the hill where it went from the 30 to national speed limit I had a corsa up my arse. I floored it up the hill. Must have been doing, oooh, 100 half way up. I'd pulled into the car park, got out of the car, opened my bonnet, checked for any water leaks, before the corsa appeared round the corner!
caprisun Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Was a good old drive out to the meet, think the post office you were talkin bout would be good to meet at though, will definitely be along to the next one. Here's the vid of you booting it down the road in the van Can you send the pics of the beetle to my mate please so I can force him to buy it, lol.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 God my van sounds good!! I've just emailed the pics over to him.
duttnut Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 Good meet guys! Good to see some OSF's in the flesh again and a couple of new cars too. Really liked lilttlejohn's capri. Where were the rest of the northeners? How can we get more people to come? The carridge house seems like a good location, central, beer, good food, etc. Perhaps people are too busy on sundays. Would we be better doing the meet on an evening again now it's getting lighter at night, and does any one prefer somewhere different. We seemed to attract more people at the old post office even on dark rainy nights. Speaking of rain get that Ecu somewhere more weatherproof caprisun! Come on all you Northeners, Where Were You ! ?

Sorry mate, Sundays are difficult for me as its really the only day I get to spend with my missus and the kids, I try and keep that free for them as much as poss. Its difficult though because I could make most nights in the week but it might not be possible for someone who comes on a Sunday to make it then, you cant please everyone, its just one of those things.
