Granada V6 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Thought it was about time i posted a few pics of my current toy, ive owned it for about 8mths now, lowered 80mm, polybushed, 15" mondeo steels, its running a granny 2.9i engine with a 5 spd box (sort of, still got to finish the wiring )
bortaf Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Sweet I recon Mk4's are about the rarest cortina nowdays only ever a handfull at the shows
alwayssideways Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Thats cool! Love the sleeper style, especially the steels
Blacksaff Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 This car is awesome fella I really love the look of it. Do you mind me asking where you got your 80mm springs from please though as I would love some and that sits better than any other cortina I've seen. Also I'm planning on Pulybushing mine all round, do you notice a MAJOR difference in handling once lowered and bushed?? Thanks in advance
frankie2.8 Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Thats just the question that I was going to ask!! that and what poundage you used, Sweet looking car, nice to see a tastefull mk4.
Granada V6 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 Thanks for the kind comments everybody The springs im using are cut originals sadly, the lowest springs i could find were -2, i was told of a company that would make springs up to any spec but i cant remember the name tbh i would like to change them for a proper job. Polybushing definately makes a difference but i think the guys who are in the know recommend only polybushing one end of the rear axle to allow a little flexability. I cant compare the before and after effects because the suspension was absolutely shot when i bought it!! along with quite possibly the original rockhard, split and cracked tyres, it certainly feels nice and tight now tho on a smooth road
MK II Mark Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Quality motor mate, lovin the wheels and they would look wicked if they were banded an inch or so
Daveyboy20 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Beauty mate! Mondeo steels eh? i might investigate that route... Was there any offset problem with them? Looks spot on
