Admin Vista Posted May 21, 2007 Admin Report Posted May 21, 2007 A fairly mean looking car, but read the questions, does 196bhp on twin 40's sound a little optimistic to anyone else? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-ESCORT-MK2-R ... dZViewItem
Posse Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Not sure really it probably would have it had bigger carbs.
john_3.0s Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 it says 45s now, maybe it was a mistake and he edited it!
Admin Vista Posted May 21, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted May 21, 2007 No, look in the questions I just can't see a car on 40's making 196bhp, that's on the limit of 45 territory in my experience. Q: hello mate saw the car , have you any more details of what the engine has had to get that bhp also would you be interested in a yamaha R1 imaculate, thanks 17-May-07 A: Hi mate, had car rolling roaded when it had 40's on it and it was running at 196, since then, i've had 45's fitted and mechanic said when it's been jetted properly it'll be running at 214 bhp. As for the offer, not looking for a trade but thanks anyway.

Mrp Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Only reason for selling is because car is too fast for my son and I've promised to buy him something less powerfull. His son is a poof.!
Dom Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Well done that man Not saying that it isn't alot of power, it is, especially from a pinto but his son should get a grip. My grandma could drive a car with more power than that!
Fiesta Steve Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Probably his engine builder quoting him happy Everybody else running about that power is on 48/50's.
4parajon Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Theres not many pinto's running that sort of power on 45's, would doubt he is living on the same planet as us really
Gonzo Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Optimistic dyno perhaps? car does look good though.
