just if their is any noticeable performance to be honest?? i dont know wat all these clearances mean or do

Lift is the amount the valve opens by

Clearance is the gap you should leave when setting the valve or tappet clearances.

 

Oh and as to performance, I've no idea.

i put a bcf2 in my old xflow....

 

defo made it more pokier.... :thumbsup: powerband was ok too, semed to rev for ever... :lol::lol::lol:

the bcf2 cam is a mild road cam with about 8/10 hp gain over a GT cam its not bad on a twin choke carb. as for the A6 thats a real cam with powerband from5000 to 9000. bcf2 is 2000/6500. timing for both is 108 degrees btdc :thumbsup:

wat do you mean by 108 degrees?? how does this correspond to the marks on the timing cover.

 

ive set the tappet gaps as standard clearance inlet - 12 though and exhaust 22 though does this mean i have to re adjust it too 14 and 18??

 

 

this is ver confusing :?

yep 14 and 18 thou. 108 degrese btdc is when dialing the cam in from new for optimum power [ full lift on inlet valve] but as yours is already in the car dont worry about it till freshen up time :thumbsup:

ok il set the tappets again.. the guy who put the cam in must have done that 108 degrease thing wen he put it in hes a engine modifyer so i gues he knows his stuff

would their realy be any difference if i re did the tappets i mean its like 2 thou and 4 thou difference :?
