Fiesta Steve Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Its the start of the fishing season Unfortunatly I was busy this morning so couldn't go as early as I would have liked. I managed to get a bait in the water at 7pm. By 7:15 I had a smelly Bream in the net. At 8pm I had a sceaming take, here's the result; 20lb Common Carp. A new personal best common But thats wasn't all ! At 9pm another sreaming take. A 22lb Mirror Carp was on the bank shortly after But you'll have to wait until tommorow for those pics. So two twenties in two hours from my local canal, and as the locals say 'A twenty from the canal is worth a thirty from any lake'. Am I happy ? I should fookin say so !!

It start at Iden near Rye in East Sussex and stretches its way across the marsh to Hythe in Kent. The best bit is its free, sort of. Day tickets on the bank, but no one ever comes around Don't be fooled into thinking they are easy to catch though

If I had one of those boats I'd never get any fishing done, and I'd only try and maker the boat go faster
X-pack-Glyn Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 Used to do fishing, i had a 24lb mirror poo all over my hand once! caught a 21lb pike and got it on the bank, looked at the teeth and shit meself, had to get an old man to unhook it, scared the crap outa me (the pike, not the old man).
