Hev Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Is there any news on a sw meet nearer Bristol area? Also my car is now on the road now after a year..whoo and id love to show you mine, and you could show me yours... Wahay!!!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 19, 2007 All meets are to be found in the Meets section of the board or in the Shows and club stand section. There is a club stand at the Powderham Show on 7th July and I'm sure that sometime in the next couple of months there will be another SW meet although that tends to be down South Why don't you start a post in the meets section and see if you can get some peeps together
Hev Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Posted June 19, 2007 I know, im not sure if i trust my car to get down that far bless it!!
escort21 Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 It'll be fine...take a spoon and a roll of gaffer tape just in case
Stu_B Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Not sure when the next one is, if you can make it over to bridgwater I know some guys meet there on a thursday night! Not sure how often they post on here though!!
hollie85 Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 i'm moving back down to the south west in a couple weeks, so i'm up for a meet too.....
Admin Vista Posted June 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 19, 2007 Bristol to Exeter isn't far. Use the car a bit to build up confidence in it, I think we all have that confidence issue to get over when we first finish a project. As it stands I have one stand and camping pass left for the OSF stand at Powderham on July 7th and 8th. Smudger105e already has first dibs on it, but if he can't make it it's up for grabs if you want it? It promises to be a great weekend, a 2 day show with beer tent and evening entertainment. i'm moving back down to the south west in a couple weeks, so i'm up for a meet too..... Come along to Powderham and introduce yourself, there's about 25 cars on the stand.
Stu_B Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Vista is that the next official OSF SW meet? If so when's the next one after that?
Admin Vista Posted June 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 19, 2007 It's a show stand rather than a meet mate as it's passes only I can't get everyone cars in. The Powderham thread has been on the board for names since the middle of November last year though. The show is well worth visiting and having a good nose around, last year there were some 1500 exhibitors and 10 to 15000 visitors over the two days. If you're not on the stand then come on down and say hello anyway http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=28407 As to next S/W meet, Once Powderham is done and dusted I'll try and get something set up for August some time I guess, trouble is it's difficult not to clash with something else at this time of year.
