john_3.0s Posted June 20, 2007 Author Report Posted June 20, 2007 oh right , i missed that he must have been made a decnt offer early - not exactly in the spirit of ebay and bl00dy anoying for those who play by the rules
Twinkle Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 hate it when people do that, some just use it as a tool to see how much their car is worth knowing full bloody well tghey aint gonna sell it
john_3.0s Posted June 20, 2007 Author Report Posted June 20, 2007 yeah there are lots of time wasters on there, but used to get the same problem in the free ads so i guess its no different.
Deano1351 Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 A lot of people put in theyre adverts that they reserve the right to end the auction early which i dont mind as long as they put that down, i must confess iv done it when iv sold cars before as it saves on e-bays fees.
Rick Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 if someone makes you a good offer though to be fair you aint gonna let the auction run for sum foreign no feedbacker to go and outbid them at the last min with no intention of buying. once ebay sort out that problem then i reckon more people will be willing to play by the rules
Admin Vista Posted June 20, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 20, 2007 if someone makes you a good offer though to be fair you aint gonna let the auction run for sum foreign no feedbacker to go and outbid them at the last min with no intention of buying. once ebay sort out that problem then i reckon more people will be willing to play by the rules I agree, money talks and bullshit walks, too many bullshitters on eBay by half. I'm sure you know the type, put in a silly bid to ensure they win then turn up and start picking holes to bring the price back down. I've never sold a car on eBay and probably never will, but have had a number of friends get no - shows from winners or people that don't want to pay what they've bid. So if I did put a car on ebay it would always be with the caveat "May be withdrawn at any time" as if someone comes up with a suitcase full of the right amount of notes then I'd probably accept.
