Admin Vista Posted June 29, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 29, 2007 I can't laugh too loud, I hired a car in the US that had these seat belts that slide along a track over the door edge. I got in, sat in the drivers seat and pulled it, it wouldn't move. I pressed every button I could see, it wouldn't move. I looked for buttons I couldn't see, nothing. By this time I was feeling very stupid and people had noticed and were beginning to watch. Sod it I thought I'll drive off and figure this out somewhere quiet at my leisure. The moment I turned the sodding key, an electric motor kicked into life and it self motored across the top of the door and locked into place on the door pillar! Did I feel dumb or what!! But honestly what's the need for a stupid labour saving device like that??

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 But honestly what's the need for a stupid labour saving device like that?? To make sure you have your seatbelt on They are there because Americans are SO FAT they can't turn round to grab the seatbelt like us slim Brits. They have to hold the seat belt, turn the ignition on so the belt goes back, then they can plug it in. It's true....!
