Every other 3rd Saturday? Is that like every 6 weeks or the 3rd Saturday in every other month?

It hasn't been completely agreed yet. It has been put to us that we could have an OSF meet on the THIRD Saturday of EVERY month as far as I can make out.

I think we will still be negotiating evening meets every couple of months.

So ..... do you think they should be on the 3rd Saturday of every month or on the 3rd Saturday of every other month .... and do you think we should still have mid-week meets every couple of months??

nice one, good idea, lets hope the plastic brigade won't start coming

Sorry to be dumb, but what is the "plastic brigade"?

Includes Saffs, 3 door cossies, RSTurbo's, XR3i's

How's that work then? i am quite sure lots of people on here see a 1986 cossy or a 84 xr3 as being a OSF??? with em being on the grey side of 20+ years i definatly see my 84 xr2 as one!

in the eyes of this forum, who are organising this meet at ace cafe old skool fords are ford that came into production pre 1980,there are loads of other forums out there that cater for these ages of fords

Just seams a bit funny to say that a rs1600i or 3 dr cossy is not a OldSkoolFord lol So is my mk1 fiesta is welcome then lol?

mk1 fez yes as it was in production pre 80,fords new models post 80 changed from the live axle rwd cars made of metal to fwd cars with plastic body kits, yes i know the sierra is rwd but it has IRS

I think if you have a meet every month @ the ace,it will get very

"samey",and a bit slow in the summer months if it clashes with any of the

big shows.

Other than that I'd prefer evening meets as I think you get a better

atmosphere, and london ain't so crowded at night as it will be midday

saturdays.

puddy :D

good point ill have to see if there is any other options

In a word

The site was initially created to be a meeting place for all of us who are into what could be dubbed a Classic Ford with a get out there and use them mentality, this 'generally' means, RWD in production before 1980 and whilst we acknowledge you car is indeed old, it is not the type of car the site was created to cater for,

We do not mean to offend anyone by trying to exclude cars, everyone is welcome, but if you do have a Sierra or a FWD Escort or a more modern looking Fiesta etc, then there are clubs on the net that specialise in this sort of car, Alcoholics Anonymous, Everyford, and Turbosport have a diverse membership.

An '84 XR2 is a Mk1 XR2 !! :dope:

Oh, and every other month :D

I haven't been lucky enough to attend an Ace meet yet but would be more likely to be able to make a Saturday than a midweek date.
