Found this on the internet, some guys in the US are painting their cars with rustolium rollered on the cars with pretty good results. Might be useful to anyone who wants to paint their car on a budget especially if they use the car every day. I think i'm gonna give it a go as Ive ran out of cash for my car. Does anyone know anyone who has tried it?? Sorry if this has been posted before!

thats great but i dont think id have it in mew to take a roller to my car(if i had 1)id have a go with a can though but it would probably turn out worse

the guy who put the fiberglass wings on my car used a roler, looks shite, but havin said that the guy was a King moron, everythin he did to the car i have had to put right, re-fit, re-build etc, but them guys have done a good job, sorta gives the cars an authentic look

yeah i wouldnt want to use it on a show car or anything but im going to be using my car everyday and if I can save £££ by doing it with this paint then I think its prob worth a look into, I think as long as you flat it properly between coats it should look pretty good and should protect against rust pretty well. I was goin to just spray my car in matt black but I heard that it isnt very waterproof.

i dunno, it depends what finish you can get really doesnt it, paintin is all in the prep, decent surface, decent job, shit surface, shit job

A friend of mine roller painted his bay window camper, spent 2 years restoring it, was a bit like---- body work by Ray Charles,----Paint by Stevie Wonder, he loved it --------- and thats all that matters

I do a lot of paining of alloy panels and fibreglass in work.

Id say rollers are the best finish, but it only leaves a very thin layer, so you have to put several coats on.

Brush is best for protection, but its near impossible to not get any blemishes or lines.

We arent allowed to spray so we have to make do. Even though theyre buses i have pride in my work, and afterall, thats what everyone sees of the bus, not the underneath. Its all in the prep though, thats what counts. You could do the greatest job ever with a spray, but bad prep will ruin it, whereas you could be great at prep and as long as your good with a brush or roller, itll turn out half decent.
