I was telling him about the L2B and coming back with Simon following in his Capri. "I had a few capris in my younger days" he said. "Really? Tell me more" I say "Yeah, I had a black one with gold lines on with JPS on the back" "You had a John Player Special? What happened to it" "Yeah, I scrapped it" "Scrapped it? Do you know how much they're worth now?" "Don't tell me. I don't want to know"

Retromotorsport Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 Theres also 2 JPS lotus esprits ... one for Mario Andretti and one for Nigel Mansell, I look after the Mansel one , all the JPS logos and pinstripes are hand painted on by the signwriter that did the F1 cars, its still got the wood screw that Nigel put in to hold the Federal side repeater light in The andretti one was crashed and is in pieces as far as i know .. Now thats a Rare JPS car... 2 cars, and only one intact and on the road

Ratters Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 There was one on the next trading estate to my work always outside a bodyshop a few years back now. Don't ever know what happened with it though, it was quite bad but definately saveable. Was a white one too.
