i woke up this morning with the incredible urge to buy a toyota corolla ae86. ok its jap but i love them cars.

 

only thing is im 18, already own 3 cars, got no space, got no money and the inurance company spank me enough on the escort let alone a 1.6 jap rocket.

 

so many cars i wanna own but proably never will cos i get too attache to them i mean ill never sell the escort. the volvo is 50/50 with my dad and the suzuki is prob only worth about £200..

You've got all the time in the world. Do what I did. Have cheap cars until you're 25 when the insurance goes down, then buy a hot hatch. Or rather a faster car.

And its not like i cant afford them, its just the principle. Im not giving them money they dont deserve.

I had a huge list of cars I wanted, but it shrunk to just one when I sat in one of the new Jag XK's this afternoon.

 

I figure if you're going to have a dream car then it makes sense to have one that you might realistically stand a chance of owning one day. After all, a GT40 (or similar) is a lottery win with a 1 in 14 million chance. One of these at say 3 years old however, is possible with a reasonable salary and perhaps a friendly bank manager.

 

 

 

EDIT: Will someone please tell me WTF an AE86 is?
