The overall diameter is 9" I only wanted to know the diameter of the flat face surface not including the sloped edge bit thing :)

No mate, there fine, I'm getting the rear minilites skimmed by 5mm and the chap wanted some dimensions to be 100% sure,

Do you need some drums? I have a pair of 9" drums, they came from a mk1 3 litre capri so I'm not sure if they're the same.

they are the same

Are you sure mate? Only the ones I have here are definitely capri ones and are about 62mm deep, whereas the Mex manual I have quotes Mex ones as 44.5mm

you must have mk 1 facelift ones which had a slightly

different set up and the drums are deffo different , i,ve got both types,

i have fitted capri 3 litre drums on a rs1600 axle which should be same as mex

It was my first project, started it in 94 and it took me about 4 years. I ended up with a serious hole in my wallet and a near mint 3.1 litre GXL that had all the right subtle tweaks and mods. Sold it in early 2003 for £3k having spent around £8 to £10k building it  Wish I'd hung onto it now.
