so, what tyres do you all use on ur OSF's??

 

i have Firestone Firehawk 700's on the Capri, need to change the front tyres at some point though, one is goodyear and one is a no name and i want firestones all around

On my road car I have a set of Yokohama A539's.

 

They are good in the dry and very good in the wet. Reasonably cheap and wear well too.

 

On my XR2 I have Yokohama A048R's.

 

They are excellent in the dry, haven't really tried them in the wet but I'm told there not the best. Very soft, so wear quite quick. A bit more expensive than the above tyres but not too bad

I run A539s on my escort & they are excellent,sticky in the dry & good in the wet.

I use Toyo 888Rs, Superb grip, and surprisingly good in the heavy downpours we have suffered this summer, even at motorway speeds.

On the downside, Their longjevity however is not good if you drive like me and give it plenty on the burnouts on the OSF Drag racing days

Hoosier 'Quick Time's on the back, and some Firestone jobbies on the front.

Hmmm... My fronts are some 'fuel saving' firestones and the two new (part worn) ones on the back are shit!! They are Goodyear GT80's damn cool name and the tyre on my original spare is actually a Goodyear GT70, thing is the tread is pants. They sound awesome round the corners but offer sod all grip, should be fun in the wet though

The Capri has 205/60/13 Michelin MXV''s, but at £184 a tyre, she will be running on some different ones soon

 

The Anglia has the finest budget rubber money can buy 175/70/13's on the back with 165/13's on the front... soon to be changed to match the back
