... but im toying with the idea of selling my car.

 

Im also frantically trying to sell my daily drive subaru to fund the house i recently bought. Im thinking of getting a 280/injection capri as my only car.

 

My question is WTF is it worth?? I need an idea so Twink doesnt delete it from 'OSF Cars for sale'

 

To give a vague idea:

 

1971 MK1 Escort 1100 Base shell, very very good only had 1 top plate and 2 front floorpans. Wings are mexico lipped items(steel).Full mexico stipe kit professionally fitted, mex badges, cut down front bumper. Black/silver alloy plates

12 months T&T

 

Had large tunnel fitted.

 

1800 zetec on weber alpha silver ignition kit and new 45 webers

RS2000 bellhousing

115ps cams

recent RR set up your gran could drive it and its VERY good on fuel(unleaded)

Heat wrapped ashley 4 branch and single box system

T9 Box

Brand new Prop

Plate type Limited Slip Diff (has ever so slight whine but could be wheel bearing)

RETRO FORD water rail, sump, mounts, alternator kit, all new cables.

Group 4 alloy rad with electric fan

Quickrack and polybushes (not fitted as of yet)

 

Front Suspension is 2ltr capri struts with new Spax adjustable inserts and 2 inch lowered springs new bearings

Princess calipers/greenstuff pads.

 

Rear suspension is lowered 2 inches with blocks again with new spax adjustables

 

On 7x13 superlites and 175/50/13 yokos.

 

Interior is base spec with large 5" Tacho and shift light, AVO style Deep dish wheel and Cobra Buckets. Still has 2 clock dash

 

Only known faults are the rear arches have slight bubbles, fan isnt wired up(runs cool enough rarely gets warm enough for it to need it)

 

Its so hard these days, people will say its worth what people will pay which is right but if i put a 7500 price tag on it i will get slated so i want some advice people WHATS IT WORTH??.Pics here

Dont know how i missed your reply mate but the scooby is up for sale and has been for 3 months now with no interest

 

My ass wouldnt be worth much i dont think and id rather have 7500 than your testicles mate. Although im sure they are very nice.

 

Iv had countless emails/PM's asking stupid questions like what i will take for cash and how much welding has it had?? it clearly states above the answer to both these. If it doesnt sell easily i will keep it, but its getting bare metalled and caged next winter

Bearing in mind what these go for now I think it is worth £7.5k if it is as good as it looks and the repairs are up to scratch. I know just the zetec fitting kit is expensive, paint looks good. It's a sellers market, much more buyers out there than OSFs. Unlike you Subaru which is the other way round!

Well got another phonecall tonight, but i also have someone coming to view the scooby tomorrow evening And he has a 2 owner S2 RS Turbo he wants to PX. Not OSF i know but i used to have a right minter of one until pikey scum pinched it, and id always wanted another. Cheaper to insure, better on petrol and still kinda cool. Hope it works out because i can keep the mk1 then
